The Global Inline & Men's team is responsible for leading our Global Inline Stores Strategy and serving as the Stores lead for our Men's Consumer Team. We define and drive the end to end concept strategy and vision, driving business priorities and brand impact, ensuring we can deliver the best of Nike to our consumers in our physical retail environments around the globe.
As we launch a new Global Stores Tiering Strategy, this role will be responsible for managing the successful strategy, development and delivery of Nike Store Concept Tiers; defining consistent standards, and unified decisioning framework to drive investment and operational excellence for the Global fleet. Through a series of Global store openings planned over the next 6-24 months, we will bring our new tiering approach and updated Nike Store strategy to life; driving productivity, profitability and brand impact at scale. This role will serve as the strategic and operational mission control for our portfolio of Store Concept Development workstreams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Principle to join our Beaverton-based team to own the cross functional coordination and delivery of our Nike Stores Tiering framework, as well as coordinating on-time, on-budget, brand right executions of our new Nike Store concept from Tier 1 Pinnacle executions (Nike London) through Tier 4 Scale Inline store executions. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you'll be working with cross-functional Global and Geo teams, serving as mission control for The Nike Store Concept development and delivery; ensuring collaboration across Concepts & Consumer, Marketing, Design, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Construction, Finance and Store Operations. Through the management of a portfolio of projects spanning Strategic Initiatives to Concept Pilot executions at each store Tier, you successfully deliver The Nike Store Concept to ensure sustainable operations and growth post opening.
Key Accountabilities
• Facilitate the Concept Development process End to End, from project planning to execution, and socialization across Global functions x Geos
• Plan, lead and operationalize a portfolio of projects across the Consumer and Concepts team; identifying key integration points to enable the success of our collective team.
• Manage concept development workback schedule and project dates & gates on Nike Stores tools & platforms (proficiency with Smartsheet and AirTable required).
• Serve as source of truth for status on all Concept Development workstreams, providing visibility and accountability for team milestones/deliverables.
• Ability to identify risks and create mitigation plans across workstreams that are highly cross-functional
• Responsible for proactive meeting agendas and prompt meeting recaps with key decisions, clear next steps.
• Track and manage program and project budgets, PO's, Vendor & Legal contracts.
Here's what a typical day/40 hour week looks like:
• Serve as mission control and source of truth for status on all Concept Development workstreams
• Be a strategic leader and thought partner to cross-functional Global and Geo teams to clearly define the Nike Store Conept.
• Own end-to-end management of The Nike Store Concept Development and rollout of at minimum two stores inflight (Pinnacle & Elevated Tiers), with potential of additional store openings planned across Scale & Specialty.
• Adapt and manage concept development workback schedule and project dates & gates in partnership with cross-functional Operations counterparts.
• Proactively communicate status, key risks and opportunities to Concept & Consumer team Leadership to ensure alignment from project kick-off to conclusion
• Track and monitor milestones and activities towards project completion and raise red flags (Time, Budget, Resources)
- Maintain a 30/60/90 Day View of Deliverables Aligned With Construction Dates & Checkpoints
- Forecast and Maintain 3-6 Month View of Deliverables Aligned to Critical Path/Deliverables
• Proactively create and manage content, agendas and recaps with clear decisions and next steps for key Meetings (Weekly Meetings, IBA, Steer Co etc.)
• Co-lead in partnership with Global Concepts Principal/Sr. Director - Meeting and team strategy facilitation for all Global Concepts x Geo functional Meetings
• Support the socialization of The Nike Store Tiering and Concept updates across Global and Geo team stakeholders stakeholders, in order to advance company-wide buy-in and alignment on strategic direction.
• Instill a positive team culture across all stakeholders, inspiring teams around a common goal of fueling innovation in Nike Direct.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, you will partner with: Global and Geo Nike Direct Stores teams, as well as Functional Partners in Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Store Operations, Real Estate & Construction.
WHAT YOU BRING
• 5+ years in Sr. Lead or Principal level in Functional Retail Strategy or Retail Program Management/Operations.
• Must align to Nike's 4/1 work week, working Monday-Thursday at WHQ Beaverton based campus, Friday option to work from home.
• Stores Concepts, Marketing, Retail Design Operations or Design Studio Management experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of common construction, architectural, design roles & responsibilities.
• Experience managing physical store buildouts preferred, with background and experience in design, fabrication and installation of retail elements
• Collaboration and relationship management
• Experience driving clarity across partners and in a matrixed or highly cross-functional environment
• Passion for consumer experience, inquisitive nature and retail industry knowledge
• Strategic thinking - ability to connect matrixed information against a common goal
• Ability to track and understand across multiple functional deliverables
• Driver/solutions oriented mentality with comfort and experience leading meetings and team strategy facilitation (support workshop development and planning)
• Highly organized
• Keynote and presentation experience; ability to pull ideas together in a compelling way
