WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an innovative and curious Packaging Developer II to join our Material Supply Chain team. The right candidate will use their packaging knowledge, critical thinking, and collaborative skills to deliver creative packaging solutions for apparel and accessories. Strong skills in packaging development, manufacturing, as well as an understanding of the product creation process will ensure delivery of exceptional product for our athletes.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • You will partner with Product and Packaging Design teams, as well as with packaging suppliers to define, develop, and deliver seasonal packaging structures with a focus on aesthetics, quality, and performance.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the product needs to develop and deliver packaging solutions.
  • Partner with packaging suppliers to develop and test different types of packaging from inception to production to support Accessories product at retail. Examples of the types of packaging classifications you would be developing are product hangtags, information booklets, box structures, and stickers supporting our Global Football Accessories and Bags product.
  • Collaborate with the team and cross functional partners on identifying and mitigating risks of packaging failures during development.
  • Help create and maintain tools to effectively manage and communicate the work, including development trackers, item matrices and pack out guides.
  • Research market trends, technologies and new sustainable solutions for designated developments and projects.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

One of the phenomenal things about this position is the opportunity to work with several cross-functional teams! This position will report into the Materials Supply Chain Global Packaging Team and support our partners within Apparel and Accessories including key collaborations with Innovation, Design, Product Merchandising, Technical Development, Sustainability, Sourcing and Manufacturing teams. The individual in this role will need to work effectively within the packaging team to ensure a thoughtful approach to developing new packaging prioritized in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science / Engineering or minimum 2 years of apparel industry experience or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Expertise in Packaging development (techniques, technologies, and application) is highly desired.
  • Experience partnering with vendors to develop and test packaging structures from inception to production.
  • Digital literacy, including Microsoft office software, Adobe, Smartsheet, Miro and Product Data Management is preferred.
  • Effectively communicate globally, across the matrix, and across a broad stakeholder base in varied settings.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines across multiple seasons.
  • Team player attitude and strength in building positive working relationships.
  • Proactive problem solving and information seeking-skills.
  • Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
  • Adapt and adjust plans in a volatile environment (are tolerant for ambiguity).
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.
