WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You'll partner with cross-functional teams aligned to Consumer Field of Play - Global and Geo Merchandising, consumer planning, Marketplace and consumer insights & analytics. as well as the gender merchandising teams. Key enablers of your success will be your passion for product, ability to build relationships, curiosity, ability to work in systems and with data, and attention to detail.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

There are two Merchant II roles open:

Merchant II, Kid Sports Apparel/Footwear APLA- this role will be supporting Kids Sports (Running, Basketball, Football) across Footwear and Apparel.

Merchant II, Mens Fit/Run Apparel APLA- this role will be focused on Men's Running and Training Apparel for APLA.

We are looking for curious, energetic, and coachable merchants. You have demonstrated an awareness and understanding of the consumer and the dynamics of the marketplace. You have shown a passion to learn, make mistakes, and grow. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and excited to take on new concepts and ideas.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • 2+ years of experience in Retail, Merchandising, Product Management, Marketplace, Buying
  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer and marketplace
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, experience working on new projects/start-ups/concepts/ideas
  • Proficiency in analyzing business and consumer trends
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to collaboratively manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to various cross-functional partners
  • Team first mentality, energy giver

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Merchant II, you will enable the strategizing, building, and managing of global 3-year line plans and product journeys cross-functionally.

A consistent part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be the detailed management, maintenance and communication of all seasonal tools and assortments. Enabling this effort will be the development of key relationships among cross-functional teammates, comfort with research and analysis, along with a genuine curiosity and commitment to learn and evolve.
