As a Merchant for Converse.com, you will be key in creating consumer-right assortments and driving profitable growth across our digital platform. Your ability to combine data-driven insights with creative vision will be essential in delivering a compelling online experience for our consumers.

As part of the Converse.com team, you'll collaborate with:

  • The Brand Merchandising, and Planning teams to align on assortment and inventory strategies.
  • Digital Marketing, Site Experience, and Analytics teams to optimize online performance and consumer engagement.
  • Cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Operations, and Finance teams, to execute cohesive strategies that drive growth and profitability.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a data-savvy, consumer-obsessed Merchant with experience in digital commerce. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of art and science-leveraging analytics, trends, and consumer insights to deliver compelling assortments that enhance the Converse.com experience.

The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative mindset, strong business acumen, and a passion for innovation to help shape the future of our online marketplace.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience & Expertise: At least 2 years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, or retail merchandising.
  • Consumer Insights: Proven ability to analyze consumer behavior and trends to build assortments that meet and exceed expectations.
  • Digital Acumen: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, tools, and metrics, such as conversion rates, ASP, UPT, and site traffic.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in retail math and data analysis to drive results-oriented decision-making.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners effectively.
  • Pricing & Promotions Expertise: Experience in pricing strategy, markdowns, and promotional planning in a digital environment.
  • Adaptability: Managing competing priorities and thriving in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.
  • Passion for Innovation: A self-starter mindset with enthusiasm for learning and applying new digital trends and tools.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Merchant for Converse.com, you will:

  • Build Consumer-Centric Assortments: Develop and deliver seasonal digital assortments aligned with brand initiatives and key retail moments leveraging data and insights to meet consumer expectations and commercial targets.
  • Define Digital Strategies: Collaborate on the .com-specific assortment strategy, ensuring alignment with global brand priorities while tailoring to local consumer needs.
  • Optimize Online Performance: Partner with cross-functional teams to adjust real-time strategies based on trading performance, inventory levels, and consumer feedback.
  • Leverage Data and Insights: Use analytics to identify trends, monitor key performance indicators, and inform future assortment planning.
  • Be a Gameplan Gatekeeper: Deliver on functional expectations within the seasonal calendar process ensuring the direct merchandising inputs are delivered aligned with the deadlines.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with teams in Planning, Digital Marketing, UX, Site Operations, and Analytics to deliver a seamless and engaging online experience, and with your merchandising leader and team to provide relevant consumer insights and product opportunities that can be integrated in future line planning
  • Champion Digital Best Practices: Stay informed on digital commerce trends, tools, and technologies to improve the Converse.com experience continuously.
