WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Materials Costing Operations Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing our materials management processes, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. We are looking for innovative individuals capable of identifying, crafting, and approaching material costing through an enterprise lens, while also effectively communicating with global teammates, working cross-culturally and valuing differences. The ideal candidates will bring a curious & analytical mindset, proactive approach, and a critical focus on cost transparency. The candidate needs to be organized, detail oriented, and thrive in problem solving environments.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

As an integral part of the Material Costing team, you will partner with functional subject matter experts to support negotiations processes. You will identify, develop, & lead high impact projects that will drive value for the enterprise. You will help establish critical cost management processes and governance through key standardization and financial practices. Other key functions:

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to materials management and operations.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on data analysis.

Process Optimization:
Evaluate current materials management processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement best practices and standardized procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve supply chain performance.

Continuous Improvement:
Support continuous improvement initiatives by leading or participating in projects focused on operational excellence.
Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address operational challenges.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the materials management team.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify adherence to established procedures.
Implement corrective actions to address non-compliance and quality issues.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with production, procurement, logistics, and other departments to align materials management activities with overall business objectives.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Provide training and support to team members on materials management processes and tools.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

You will report to a Manager of Materials Costing Operations, while working closely with Materials Costing, Materials Sourcing, Materials Manufacturing, Finance, Tech and Commercial Data & Analytics.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, Masters in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain or Analytics preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, ERP systems, Alteryx, Python)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Influences via data storytelling and comfortable transforming large sets of information into a compelling business case. Tableau or PowerBI expertise preferred, but not required.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable and resourceful and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience investigating, capturing and maintaining data in an information management system
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to navigate cross-functional needs and processes, including the ability to collaborate with and influence all levels of management
  • Team player, proactive, flexible and with a desire to learn and grow
  • Cultural awareness and a champion for diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Flexibility to connect with teammates in various time zones

Costing Capabilities Roles have specific skillsets in addition to the above capabilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of at least one technical language like Excel, SQL, ERP systems, Alteryx, Python
  • Experience building and maintaining models leveraged for high visibility, high impact business processes
  • Experience managing and automating data ETL and building insights layers
