WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

The Merchandising Operations Information Manager sits in the EMEA Merchandising Operations team which is part of the wider EMEA Consumer x Marketplace Operations team. The EMEA Consumer x Marketplace Operations team leads one integrated Operations offense to drive Nike's End-2-End Seasonal Code process and execute the Next% Consumer x Marketplace Operating model with clarity, speed & confidence to win in our Fields of Play.

As Merchandising Information Manager, reporting to the Merchandising Operations Director, you will be leading a team of 4 Merchandising Information Specialists (MIS). You will be working close with the other Merchandising Information Manager and the Merchandising Operations Sr. Process manager through the lens of System/ Tools, Process, CODE( Nike's X-functional calendar road map) Dates & Gates and Communication. You will be part of the EMEA Consumer Merchandising function enabling Nike's Merchandising teams. The Merchandising Operations works in close collaboration with Key X-functional partners across Global / Geo, Planning, Go To Market team, Supply Chain and Pricing.

Mission

Merchandising Information Operations team (2 managers, and 8 specialists) mission is to enable the Merchandising community to adopt and create the most consumer-right profitable product line and assortments for EMEA. The Merchandising Information Operations team is instrumental in this journey by continuously improving efficiency through evolved processes, new ways of working, dynamic system/tool landscape and effective communication. This role is specifically focused on driving, leading and creating efficiency around Nike's Merchandising system / tools landscape regarding product data management (complete, on time, quality, score carding). This with focus on the operational tasks enabling the team to plan and adopt the seasonal product line, pricing and create EMEA Consumer/market right assortments in the relevant merchandising systems and tools landscape.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

The below description outlines the required experience and background for this role:

  • Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in team management, leading & building winning teams with an operations background / work experience.
  • You are an expert for all Merchandising systems and tools looking at product management data around key strategic initiatives: i.e. Launch products, Consumer Flow, Key Looks (head to toe looks), Directed products, End Product Offer Date, Minimum exceptions thru the lens of dates/ gates, process and communication.
  • Merchandising (Operations) knowledge and experience is a pre and CODE knowledge is a plus.
  • To be successful in this role, you should be able to digest and summarize large amounts of input & prioritize key topics to shape & communicate the vision of the Merchandising Information team as part of the newly established Consumer x Marketplace Operations team;
  • And ensure X-functional alignment and mutual understanding around data management.
  • You'll need to bring an innovation mindset, as in this role you are a problem solver who approaches the day2day work with an improvement and innovation mindset, challenging the status quo and building a word class Merchandising Operations team for the future.
  • You have strong collaboration and influencing skills to lead across the Nike Matrix organization and proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Extensive Excel knowledge, including data manipulation, pivot tables and functions/formulas are a much. Air table/ Tableau knowledge is a plus.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

  • You will execute and maintain accurate Merchandising and Product information in the respective Merchandising system and tool landscape. Drive data validation to ensure data management is consistent (on time, measurable, accurate and complete) in the Merchandising system and tool landscape regarding seasonal product line adoption, planning, pricing, forecasting, responsive business, sampling, flow, attribution, and assortment visualization.
  • Provide, lead and support with information to enable Product line planning/ adoption, Assortment work, Data management to enable Merchandising, Merchandising Operations and X-functional partners at any given time.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Merchandising related systems and tools (MMX/ AV/Air table/Tableau / Smartsheet). Fully engage in the preparation and implementation of any future system/tool functionalities and support a smooth transition across Global / Geo and work with X-functional partners.
  • Lead, Coach, Drive and Inspire the MIS team and obsess the individual by team development with much positive and high energy. Act as the to-go-person for your direct reports and accelerate in building a high performing team.
  • Be an ambassador of the team with cross-functional partners in this constant changing environment and embrace innovation by new ways of working.
