The business process innovation team works closely with cross-functional partners to evaluate and implement process improvements and system solutions for the Design, Trend & Concept, Product Development and Product + Consumer Merchandising. They provide strategic, operational and tactical solutions to improve and simplify the product creation process. The team is forward oriented, leveraging digital tools and process innovation.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Manager of Business Process Innovation for Product Creation and Merchandising is responsible for owning innovation of end-to-end product lifecycle processes. This individual will have experience in operations or consulting related to footwear or apparel product creation lifecycles and business processes.

This person is tasked with propagating positive change across the PCM function using modern processes and system solutions. Working cross-functionally with Product Merchandising, Consumer Merchandising, Design, Development, Trend & Concept, Tech, Finance, and extended Nike teams globally, this individual will identify and prioritize areas of opportunity for impactful change.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Deep dive on business processes with the Product Creation & Merchandising teams. Understand what activities, collaborations, tools and documentation are needed to successfully develop a footwear product line
  • Identify & document process improvement opportunities and develop recommendations to simplify, speed up or enrich the key moments within the creation process.
  • Influence leaders with prioritization of project recommendations
  • Orchestrate the cross functional project management of these strategic process efforts
  • Create visually compelling presentations and executive level communications
  • Quarterback change management, minimizing the adverse effects of organizational changes and optimizing positive results

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will report into the Strategic Portfolio Director in PCM Operations. This team is responsible for supporting the roadmap and execution of existing and future technology solutions as well as business processes that enable the creation of footwear product offerings.

The candidate will partner with other leads in PCM Ops, the Technical Product Managers (Product Creation and Digital Product Design and Merchandising), Project Core leaders, as well as each functional area's key partners (finance, design, engineering, tech design, materials, global and geo product development, product merchandising and planning teams).

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 + years of experience or equivalent combination of education, experience or training preferred
  • Relevant experience in a business operations or consulting role (preferably in a Product, Design, Merchandising or Planning context in the footwear or apparel industry)
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel, Smartsheet, Miro, and PowerPoint/Keynote
  • Affinity for diving into process discovery and understanding what motivates actions within an organization and the complex connections across teams
  • Visual communication skills to effectively convey your recommendations
  • Ability to clearly communicate these findings at the leadership level and influence teams to adopt recommendations
  • Strong team player, able to establish and manage cross-functional partnerships
  • Ability to work independently, while balancing multiple priorities at once and meet tight deadlines
  • Tolerance for ambiguity
