WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will work both within the Nike DSM function and cross-functional North America Women's organization, including Women's Leadership, Marketplace MFP, Assortment Planning, Merchandizing Finance, and others to deliver top-down financial business forecasts for six rolling seasons. Your focus is to understand and share trade-off actions that ultimately drive consumer demand, maximize profitability, and optimize inventory health.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the Lead Women's Merchandise Financial Planner, you play a critical role in defining, shaping, and meeting consumer demand. You are responsible for defining and leading multi-season sales, receipt, and inventory plans, while adjusting and aligning based on evolving targets and business trends. You will build hypotheses and data driven analysis, translate insights into action through problem-solving and critical thinking skills. You possess a deep understanding of the marketplace, product and inventory planning with actions grounded in qualitative research, data, and insights to support your view. You are a great collaborator who proactively builds positive relationships across the organization. Using your strong financial and commercial acumen, you show good judgment in making decisions and problem solving.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • 6+ years' experience in retail, planning and/or product management
  • Strong ability to influence & work constructively with others by communicating effectively
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to collate and understand relevant market data that integrates and informs the Merchandise Financial Plans, while assessing risk and solving problems to deliver business results
  • Strong command of Retail metrics including Retail Sales, ST%, WOS, Inventory (sellable and available), Brand Revenue and Margin with the understanding of the interplay and tradeoffs between metrics
  • In-depth knowledge of consumers, competitors, and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred
  • Advanced capabilities in planning tools and Excel

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

If this is you, you will serve as the Merchandise Financial Planning Lead to a Women's Field of Play Team, working cross-functionally to forecast consumer demand, plan optimal supply, incorporate merchandising strategy, and meet financial goals. You will set tops-down plans for key business dimensions across both Gross-to-Net and Stock & Sales that balance consumer demand and partner strategies, while aligning with the Consumer Architecture. Your plans will guide franchise plans, drive financial forecasts, and inform end-to-end inventory forecasts. You will reconcile forecasts, recap business results, and clearly depict decision impacts with cross-functional and leadership teams. You will also input into internal seasonal financial and business reviews while driving overall context to seasonal plans.

  • Be an integral part of the North America Women's team, working in a fast pace, multi-functional environment with exposure to various levels of leadership
  • Define and manage multi-season Merchandise Financial Plan leading with consumer demand, tied to Retail Sales and Inventory KPI's
  • Present to key stakeholders the risks and opportunities against current state of the business and speak to how/why forecasts are evolving
  • Adjust and align Merchandise Financial Plan to brand architecture and strategy based on targets and actuals
  • Participate in key moments and gates - Quarterly Business Reviews, NA Nike CODE Moments, AOP, CSR, Seasonal Targeting, etc.
