In this role, you will be reporting to the Treasury Director - Capital Planning, Investments and Rates. Successful execution will require working closely with key cross-functional partners in Global Cash & Banking, Global Business Planning, Controlling, Tax, and Legal. Additionally, you will assist with leveraging NIKE's external relationship banks for market research, and external investment advisors that we may work with to support achieving investment objectives.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Treasury Lead to join the Capital Planning, Investments & Rates team that resides within the Capital Markets team. Capital Markets is at the center of NIKE's interactions with global financial markets, including debt capital markets, foreign exchange risk management, and capital return programs. You will be part of the team that manages NIKE's multibillion dollar investment portfolio, and for developing related risk management strategies such as liquidity and interest rate risk. Successful Finance Leads are analytical thinkers that can communicate effectively with senior management while handling competing priorities in a quickly changing environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training. MBA and/or CFA charter holder preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience at the Global Headquarters of a publicly traded multinational company or at a financial services company.
  • Experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Asset Management, and/or Investment Banking
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills with a keen ability to communicate complex concepts to wide and diverse audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver presentations to Senior Leadership
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to learn and leverage tools such as Power BI
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and quickly changing environments
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities; strong organization skills

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

On any given day you might be involved in managing the strategy for NIKE's multibillion dollar investment portfolio and related risk management activities. Key responsibilities include calibration of investment risk appetite, portfolio review and analysis, review of performance benchmarks, and quarterly discussions of portfolio performance with senior management. You will align investment decisions with liquidity risk management objectives, and advance strategies to mitigate interest rate risk arising from NIKE's financing and investing activities. Finally, you will ensure appropriate governance and oversight of NIKE's investment activities, including compliance with NIKE's Investment Policy.
