As part of our Global Tennis Sports Marketing team, the Tennis Field Rep will execute on the strategic vision for the Global Sports Marketing Tennis dimension, elevating athlete service, athlete integration. You'll leverage athlete and industry insights and partner with the director of Athlete brand experience to secure athlete appearances, while ensuring product, service, and contractual fulfillments are met for all athletes and partners.
You will align to the vision and strategy of the Senior Director Global Partnership Tennis.
The ideal candidate will be an inclusive, collaborative, organized, strategically minded, highly effective teammate and be able to operate and drive clarity in a dynamic environment through critical thinking and problem-solving.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
o Cultivate and maintain significant relationships and networks with athletes, agents, federations, and other industry strategic partners within the Tennis Industry, as well as Nike Sports Marketing, Athlete Experience.
o Order management for Tennis Assets portfolio, placing all day to day and seasonal orders for assets
o Partner with cross-functional internal partners to ensure our Tennis Athletes partnerships align to strategic product, business, and marketplace priorities, and Nike garners maximum value from our athlete partnerships.
o Maintain updated athlete information and manage periodic updates to systems.
o Gather Athletes insights from a brand and product perspective
o Communicate seasonal scripted looks to Tennis athletes, agents and key partners
o Ensure that all contractual fulfillments are met for all athletes and partners.
o Maintenance of Personal Ethos, ensuring compliance
o Secure Athlete Appearances and gather athletes insights on wear test
o Travel and arrangements as business requires (including Grand Slam or other tournament Hospitality; Brand Photoshoots; critical wear test)
o Lead with collaboration, a growth mindset, and remain passionate about key priorities.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report to the Senior Director Global Partnership Sports Marketing Tennis, work alongside the broader Tennis Sports Marketing team, and partner closely with the Athlete Brand Experience Tennis Director. Additionally, you will work with the Mens and Womens Product Teams, Marketplace, and Product Merchandising teams to ensure Sports Marketing efforts are in service of brand and business objectives. Externally you will work with athletes, agents, and team personnel among others.
WHAT YOU BRING
o Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
o 5+ plus years proven experience in Sports Marketing, Brand Marketing, or closely related field preferred
o Proven ability to develop meaningful relationships that drive and achieve business objectives in conventional and innovative ways
o True passion, understanding, and interest in Tennis
o Knowledge of the Tennis landscape
o Portfolio management, critical thinking experience required
o Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making and communicate in a compelling manner to internal/external partners
o Enterprise thinking, end-to-end business knowledge, and organizational and operational excellence
Preferred:
o Familiarity with the brand marketing and sports marketing functions at NIKE
o Established network of athlete, agent, coach, and industry contacts
o Proven ability to identify and evaluate talent
o Proficiency in MS Office, Keynote, etc
o Proficiency in SEC, SAP and other Nike systems
