WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

We are looking for a Senior Planner focused on optimizing the Nike business with Dick's Sporting Goods. They will be the point person for specific product segments and will collaborate with a variety of teams: planning, sales, merchandising, marketplace, and external contributors. They will join a team that embraces inclusivity and diversity.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This person will play a pivotal role in bringing Nike's marketplace vision to life with specific focus on pre-season forecasting, reacting to in-season trends and results analysis. They will establish clear financial plans while partnering with cross functional teammates to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer demand. Strong collaboration is a key, working both internally with Nike and externally with Dick's Sporting Goods. As a Senior Planner, they'll bring curiosity, a self-starter mentality, influential communication skills, and a strong ability to operate in ambiguous situations. They have phenomenal data story telling abilities grounded in retail acumen, planning expertise, and supported through elevated excel capabilities.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • 5+ years experience in Planning/Buying/Sales with emphasis on retail/wholesale financial planning and analysis with advanced Excel skills.
  • A minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to leverage large amounts of data, identify critical information, develop recommendations and influence through compelling communication.
  • Able to think critically and understand the potential of a product in the marketplace while identifying gaps to tops-down and bottoms-up financial plan.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

On any given day you might be developing style-level plans that influence buy and supply decisions while partnering with key stakeholders. You'll also continuously monitor performance indicators keeping a pulse on the business: analyzing sales results, managing product forecasts, in season recommendations and sharing actionable insights on risks and opportunities.

  • You will create plans that optimize business health while achieving financial targets.
  • You will use strong communication skills with internal/external partners to elicit information, cultivate productive dialogue, verbalize ideas, and align financial plans with an overarching strategy.
  • You will enable success by collaborating with multiple cross functional internal teammates that are based in multiple locations, a remote leader and external planning counterparts.
  • You will thrive in a fast-paced, results oriented, team mentality environment.
