WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Within the Partner Profitability & Excellence team, part of EMEA Partner Go to Consumer team (NMP), we are looking for a Commercial Trade Terms lead to join our European headquarters in the Netherlands. As the EMEA Commercial Trade Terms Lead you will play a key role in driving Nike's growth and profitability through strategic partner management. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance our partner relationships, ensure mutually beneficial business outcomes, and optimize profitability across all touchpoints. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and an understanding of financial metrics in a retail and wholesale environment.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
This role is expected to possess the following core competencies:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, understanding their business objectives and aligning them with Nike's strategies to drive mutual profitability.
- Work closely with Finance Leaders & the Finance MPU to identify areas of opportunity to maximize partner profitability
- Lead the development and execution of Nike's Trade Term Process, making improvements to today's framework, reflective of business needs
- Collaborate with Sr Leaders in our business to understand and identify profitability levers to optimize our trade term strategy that align with profitability goals
- Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance and the Commercial leaders to support contract creation, ensuring terms are beneficial for both Nike and our Partners.
- Develop and manage operational initiatives to drive efficiencies and improvements
- Be a thought partner for NMP Commercial leads in short and long-term trade term planning
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, you will be part of the EMEA Partner Go to Consumer team, reporting directly to the EMEA Partner Profitability & Excellence Director. To be successful in this role, you will need to collaborate with various business and finance teams, including NMP Finance Leads, various Central Finance teams,, as well as cross-functional stakeholders such as NMP Commercial and Supporting Teams, mainly Sales.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven and relevant business partnership experience in a retail or wholesale environment.
- Account Management & commercial experience, acquired in Sales, Buying, Merchandising or Finance, etc.
- Proven ability to manage partner relationships and drive profitability through strategic planning and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience working and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.
- Strategic thinking with very efficient problem-solving skills with proactive attitude
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
