WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will work both within the Nike DSM function and across the broader cross-functional organization including partnering closely with Merch Planning, S&IP, EBP, Merchandising, Finance, GMs, and others to deliver top-down financial business targets both pre-season and in-season. You will also work across Fields of Play (FOP) to drive trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, margin and optimize overall consumer and FOP inventory health.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Lead Merchandise Financial Planner (MFP) to join our Team! As a Lead Merchandise Financial Planner, you will play a meaningful role in defining, crafting and setting consumer demand. You will be responsible for defining and leading multi-season revenue, receipt and inventory plans for the Global and FOP teams to serve consumer demand while adjusting and aligning to the consumer architecture based on targets and actuals.

You can build hypothesis & data driven analysis, translating insights into action through problem solving and critical thinking skills. You possess a deep understanding of consumer, marketplace, product and inventory planning with actions that are grounded in qualitative research, data and insights to support your view. You are a great collaborator who proactively builds positive relationships across the organization with both upstream and downstream functions. Using your strong financial and commercial acuity, you show good judgment in making decisions and problem solving.
- 5+ years experience in retail, planning and/or product management
- Strong ability to influence & work constructively with others by communicating effectively. Listens actively and contributes to advance the conversation.
- Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Ability to collate and understand relevant market data that integrates and informs the Merchandise Financial Plan; assessing risk and solving problems to deliver business results
- Strong command of Retail metrics including Retail Sales, ST%, WOS, Inventories (marketplace + DC), Revenue and Margin with the ability to manipulate data for efficient outcome
- Commercial and entrepreneurial approach
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You'll be working with the Consumer and broader Merchandise Financial Planning team to define and lead multi-season Merchandise Financial Plans for the global, consumer, FOP, and marketplace. You will set long range financial plans based on consumer demand and fields of play strategies as well as reconcile assortment plans with merchandise financial plans to align to consumer architecture. Your top-down financial targets will inform franchise/style plans, financial forecasts and end-to-end inventory forecasts, including liquidation plans both within and across Geos and FOPs. You'll work across Consumer and FOPs with Merch Planning to reconcile forecasts and communicate results & impacts with cross-functional and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead multi-season Merchandise Financial Plan for Consumer and FOP
- Adjust and align Merchandise Financial Plan to consumer architecture based on targets and actuals
- Determine (Perform) Global and Geo, Pre-Season top-down financial business targets (MFP - Consumer Demand, Revenue, Margin and Inventory) for Geo, Gender, Channel to inform Franchise/Style plans, Financial Forecasts and E2E Inventory Forecasts
- Set and run E2E inventory liquidation plans within and across Channel
- Define location (geo, FOP) consumer demand, revenue, receipt and inventory plans
- Determine cross-FOP trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, Nike and partner margin and optimize overall marketplace inventory health
