The Lead, Integrated Business Planning is a leader with an understanding of how our marketplaces perform, not just today, but also how our plans drive increased retail sales in the near future and what actions we need to take. You will be keeping an accurate overview of the key risks and opportunities of our plan and drive any follow-up to turn opportunities into business results.
We look for a highly motivated great teammate, that can build and coordinate a broad network of key knowledge owners than can drive actions to achieve the plan. Curious and excellent in building structure in processes as well as timeliness and results. A great presenter and storyteller. Very strong with numbers.
What you will work on
Owning the integrated business process that aligns the operating plan with the financial plan, with a focus on risk and opportunities. Being the key person that gathers the different plans and put the teams together to align on the steps forward to achieve the medium term business results. Driving agreement on key decisions or support asks to our Converse leadership, both for Western Europe as well as to our Global Converse Leadership team.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the alignment our Retail Sales forecasts with our financials: Gather Retail sales forecasts of our channels and compare with Futures forecasts, Supply plans, Buying plans and related inventory projections to understand gaps or opportunities and suggest for actions Review on product category levels to identify specific risks areas as well as expected actions of future brand campaigns. Provide clear feedback and actions to the teams involved.
- Co-lead the new geo Merchandising Finance Plan review and provide input to the geo Consumer and Channel planning teams.
- Prepare and drive the monthly Western Europe Integrated Business Planning meeting in preparation of the monthly Global Integrated Business Planning meeting. Evolve the decks and deliver the requested input timely and consistent.
- Lead storytelling for geo business results at key enterprise moments.
- Facilitate critical issue paths for key actions across functions.
- Connect with the Global Integrated Business Planning team as well as other geographies to work on an improved process, share standard methodologies and gather findings from other geographies.
- Drive and coordinate the forecasting and cleanup of our close-out / aged products, align between the Inventory Management teams, our factory store partners, our warehouse team as well as our Commercial and financial (controlling) teams.
- Play your role on the Planning Leadership team and contribute your insights in both the Planning Strategy as well as the achievement plan for the fiscal year.
Who you will work with
You will be working closely with the Channel Planning Teams (Wholesale and Direct) as well as the Consumer Planning team that is running the Merchandising Finance Plan. Next to this, finance will be your key partner as well as our operations and warehouse teams. For close-out specific, you will also partner with our Factory stores team, our commercial value team as well as our inventory accounting team
From a global perspective, you will work with the newly formed Global IBP team as well as the Global consumer planning and supply planning team.
This role reports directly to the Senior Director Planning for Western Europe and has no direct reports.
The role is based in Converse EHQ, Hilversum, The Netherlands.
What you bring:
- 7 years experience in business operations, preferably in demand planning, sales planning or business planning.
- Strong knowledge of Retail KPI's as well as financial gross-to-net mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of planning concepts as well as some knowledge of Franchise management.
- Detail oriented and results oriented. This position requires someone who can plan ahead, think analytically, and develop recommendations for ideas
- Knowledge of the European Footwear and Apparel industry is a pre
- Passion for Converse brand and culture
- Strong communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint's for senior leaders)
- Experience in working an (integrated) planning team in a global corporation is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and proven capability to use data to drive business
- Ability to collaborate in high profile matrix-oriented environment across various business functions.
