WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a seasoned marketing measurement athlete to join our team in a pivotal, highly cross-functional roll. This person will be responsible for working across our Paid Media and adjacent teams to ensure we are improving the insights, measures, and data we have at our disposal to steer and optimize our multi-million dollars media programs. This role will also partner to drive our measurement strategy and tool advancement with Nike's Marketing Science teams and our lead agencies.

The ideal candidate is passionate about the science of marketing and has serious analytical chops as well as a strong working knowledge of paid media programs - especially how to measure and enhance premium, brand and direct response marketing across the funnel. They are adept at turning the complex (and lots of data) into simple insights and recommended actions to influence decision-making. They thrive working with multiple marketing partners and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in analytics, media and with modern digital marketing tools along with superb teamwork and strong communication skills are essential to this role.

You are curious, a self-starter, and a willing teammate who takes pride in ownership and wants to continuously drive for better. You are the 'team-sports' type and thrive maximize the output of the whole team, not just the individual.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will report to the Director of Media Strategy and Planning and responsible for cross-channel analytics and measurement. You will play several key roles including data detective, thought leader, and measurement evangelist while partnering across our media team, media agencies, media partners. and organization to push the boundaries of what is possible in this marketing measurement and optimization space and keep Nike cutting edge.

Responsibilities

  • Actively find opportunities where research, data, and analytics can most powerfully impact the effectiveness of our media program and partner to enable thoughtful and timely decision-making
  • Dive deep into the weekly/monthly/quarterly performance with our media channel and campaign experts, to understand trends and identify successes, opportunities, sharper future projections
  • Advance media effectiveness, data and measurement practices partnering closely with our Media Tech lead, our external agencies, media partners, Nike Product (MarTech, Data) and Marketing Science teams to improve data and measurement; develop plans and build relationships necessary to implement
  • Participate in the creation of robust test & learn agendas for our campaigns and channels to answer key strategic questions
  • Inform comprehensive measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns across various channels
  • Enable relevant cross-channel audience analysis, segmentation and measurement
  • Work with internal stakeholders to establish goals and objectives for marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Stay current with and share industry trends and best practices in marketing analytics and measurement, continuously refining strategies as tools, methods, privacy evolves
  • Partner across teams to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting and analysis

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be a key part of the North American Integrated Media Team, working across the breadth of Nike campaigns, products, and platforms (.com, Nike App, SNKRS, etc) that get executed in the U.S. You will partner closely with members of the Integrated Media team (campaign owners, channel experts, cross-channel strategists) and be a key partner to our Marketing Analytics function (including data science), consumer insights, and adtech/product teams. Ability to build relationships and partner with extended teams is crucial to making impact in this role.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field such as Engineering or Economics
  • 5-7+ years experience in Marketing Science with a focus on cross-channel and campaign measurement/optimization esp. in the digital marketing space
  • Expertise in media measurement incl. Marketing Mix Models (MMM), campaign and brand health, last click attribution, geo lift tests, taxonomy, etc.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and media platforms (e.g. Meta, Google Ads, etc)
  • Experience with consumer data platforms and providers, etc and enhancing audiencing solutions for paid media
  • Strong analytical skills & comfort with getting your "hands dirty" diving deep into the numbers and conducting analyses. Expert analysis skills with solid understanding of SQL and / or ability to work with a large database a plus
  • Proven ability to make simplify the complex - interpret data sets and extract actionable insights in plain language to help drive data-informed decisions
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-focused mentality with a commitment to accuracy and precision in reporting and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including building persuasive presentations to advocate for advancement in the marketing science space
  • Proven track record of working highly-collaboratively and cross-functionally, including with various marketing subject areas, data and technical teams
  • Positive mentality and ability to learn new things
