WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role reports directly to the Design Operations Director, Global Sports Apparel and will sit on the Global Women's Design Operations team. They will work closely with other Sport Design Ops partners and will directly support the Sr Director, Women's Sport AP Design and a team of Design Directors and Designers. While working closely with the Design team, they will also partner with Operations counterparts, business leaders, and functions across the entire product creation matrix at all levels.

The Lead Women's Basketball Design Ops will drive the end-to-end Women's Basketball Apparel Design offense, and act as the primary Operations point of contact for Women's Sport AP Design (x-sport), with a focus on designer workload management, calendar/process creation, design-specific tools, and resource alignment.
The ideal candidate will lead with a digital approach, have an incredible attention to detail, capacity to navigate ambiguity, and will act as the hub to connect with cross-functional partners to drive process innovation. They will ensure we have the right tools and resources to enhance the designer experience and deliver impactful product stories for Women's Sport. With multiple seasonal workstreams overlapping simultaneously, they can focus upstream, on longer term planning, while actively problem-solving tactical issues in the day-to-day.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
- 5+ years of professional work experience in operations, project management, strategy, design, or relevant industry.
- Knowledge of apparel product creation processes and design thinking (strongly preferred).
- Experience working with creative teams in a studio/agency environment (preferred).
- Strong communication + presentation skills; able to influence across multiple functions and levels.
- Passion for process excellence + simplification; unlocking innovation, collaboration, and improved ways of working.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to handle multiple workstreams and balance competing priorities under seasonal timelines.
- Strong interpersonal, consensus-building skills, with ability to advocate and achieve results.
- Proficient in Keynote, Powerpoint, and Miro; Smartsheet, Airtable, or other project management software preferred.
- Experience with, or knowledge of, creative digital tools is preferred.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you will work with the Women's Sport AP Design leadership and cross-functional partners to successfully move the Women's Basketball design work forward. You will manage all Women's Basketball workstreams, including seasonal branded, league licensed, signature athlete, and promo events; and own communications to ensure the team meets deadlines and deliverables. As needed, you may stretch to cover workstreams outside of Basketball to drive consistency across Women's Sport.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Lead process creation and optimization for design-owned workstreams, while partnering closely with the Global Women's Operations team to execute key product for the world's biggest sport and brand moments.
- Conduct workshops or meetings to gather insights and help define clear expectations, tools, and processes that drive creative collaboration across design teams.
- Foster a high-performance studio by integrating Apparel, Color, Graphic, and Production Art into a unified design process.
- As a trusted liaison for Design, build strong relationships with Product Management, Development, Sports Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations counterparts.
- Consult on optimizing design-specific processes, contribute to new design and cross-functional capabilities aligned with transformative initiatives, and serve as a Design subject matter expert (SME) to enhance team capabilities.
