WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a curious, active learner who is an excellent communicator and has a passion for creating world class footwear to help Athletes perform their best to join our team as a Footwear Product Testing Analyst II based at Nike's Shanghai headquarters. This role ensures that Nike footwear fits and performs up to the highest standards. The candidate will need strong interpersonal skills focused on developing Athlete tester relationships. Exceptional planning skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects are a must. Candidates will be expected to analyze data, identify trends and opportunities as well as present feedback to a cross functional team in the pursuit of product excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In this role, you'll be managing all aspects of the testing process; including planning, recruiting testers, conducting tests, analyzing data, report writing and program management. You'll use your understanding of footwear's manufacturing processes combined with your understanding of the Athlete to offer suggestions to the product team regarding material, component, and construction options to meet the product's performance goals. You'll specify the performance issues that need attention prior to product going to production. You will be working with one of the following product types; Lifestyle, Basketball, Kids. A typical day is a combination of communicating with Athlete testers, attending meetings with your cross functional partners and managing prototype samples. You will be conducting testing in person with Athletes. Because we interact where Atheltes live, work and play at times you will be working outside of traditional working hours.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You'll be the testing point person in Shanghai for prioritized footwear projects and working with Nike Footwear product creation teams to test new innovative footwear. You'll also work with Athletes* to gain a better understanding of their needs and to capture their feedback. You will partner daily with cross functional teammates in Development, Engineering, Marketing, and Design. You will attend virtual meetings with your Nike WHQ (Beaverton, OR) teammates when able to. You will report to the Shanghai based Footwear Product Testing Director and you will be a part of a Global community of Footwear Product Testing Analysts.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or minimum 2 additional years' relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 years' experience in a professional working environment. Experience in the footwear, product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, Athletic or customer service industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of footwear components, materials, and inline productions processes is a definite plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with athletes, coaches, and equipment managers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with spreadsheet database and statistical analysis procedures.
  • Able to physically lift and carry items weighing 20 pounds.
  • Passion for sport is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% per year, local in Shanghai, as well as across GC with potential of International travel.
