WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As Demand and Supply Management (DSM), we serve the Nike planning function combining insights and analytics to sense and craft how much product consumers will want, where and when they'll want it. This offense combines work in the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP), Assortment Planning (AP) and Supply and Inventory Planning (S&IP) sub functions to support a more detailed and flexible approach to serve consumers and drive inventory efficiency for Nike and our partners.

With this, we have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Operations Analyst to join our Inventory Operations and Strategy team within Supply and Inventory Planning.

As an Inventory Operations Analyst, you'll be responsible for converting data into actionable insights through the power of analytics. You'll utilize these insights to leverage inventory forecasting and management processes. In this varied role, you'll combine your strong data and analytical skills with business knowledge, in order to forecast and assess the health of Nike's inventory across EMEA. You'll be able to understand changes in consumer demand, seasonal buy strategies and supply chain developments, whilst using your comprehensive supply chain knowledge and strong story-telling skills to translate complex issues into compelling communications. In this role you will help to build Supply and Inventory Planning capabilities fit for the future of Nike.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Working as part of the Inventory Operations and Strategy team, within Supply Inventory Planning, you'll support the E2E inventory forecasting process, leveraging, and analyzing Nike's planning data to provide insights on inventory risks and opportunities for EMEA at different dimensions. Alongside this, you'll track the key drivers of inventory and their root causes to present compelling insights to key stakeholders across the planning community to drive alignment and action.

You will also contribute to the Inventory Health Management process by leveraging Nike's Global Inventory Health Evaluation capabilities to analyze Nike's inventory and marketplace data to determine inventory composition and health.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be part of the Inventory Operations and Strategy team within Supply and Inventory Planning.

From a technical point of view, you will partner with Commercial Analytics, Product Management and Tech teams both at a Geo and Global level; and from a business point of view, you'll work with different functions including Demand and Supply Management, Logistics and Operations, Marketplace Operations, Finance and Global Supply and Inventory Planning.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience in Operations Management, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field; with hands-on experience applying data and analytics techniques.
  • Strong numerical skills, detail oriented, alongside the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • A solution driven mindset with a passion for problem solving and unraveling complex issues.
  • Experience of engaging and communicating across different levels of an organization.
  • Strong computer and data analytics skills.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is essential, Tableau and experience with statistical programming (E.g. Python or R) is beneficial.
  • Team spirit mindset to support peers and business with functional tasks and projects.
  • Experience with think-cell, TM1 applications, Cognos BI tools, Cognos Planning Analytics, SAP, o9, AIMMS and SQL is preferred.
