WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

The In-Season Analyst will be part of the Nike Direct Stores Planning team, working closely with Merchandise Financial Planners, Assortment Planners, and Allocation Planners on the same team. This team excels at optimizing the in-season business to meet Nike Direct Stores' revenue, margin, and inventory goals through pricing, promotions, and inventory movements. This role will report directly to the Director of Nike Stores Planning, collaborating across teams without direct reports.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an In-Season Analyst who plays a vital role in understanding and optimizing business performance during the current season. The In-Season Analyst will focus on analyzing and influencing key decisions related to pricing, promotions, and inventory movement across Nike Stores to maximize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity. The ideal candidate thrives in fast paced environments and can translate complex data into actionable strategies.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to analyze data and provide business insights that impact decisions. Collaboration with cross-functional team members to resolve business risks and seize opportunities will be essential.

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis and business insights.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, etc.); SQL preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Ability to work across a matrixed, cross-functional environment, and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and influence KPIs.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You'll focus on optimizing in-season business performance, conducting in-depth analysis to refine pricing structures, promotional levers, and inventory movements. You'll have the opportunity to influence real-time decisions and ensure that Japan's Nike Direct Stores business hits its revenue, margin, and inventory productivity targets.:

  • Analyze and develop strategies to improve performance across Nike Stores.
  • Identify overperforming and underperforming styles and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate in-season insights into future planning.
  • Conduct pricing, promotion, and inventory analysis to maximize business outcomes.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, addressing them to align with key business goals.
