WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will report to the México Logistics Director, who is responsible of the end2end territory Logistics operations.

You will be leading a group of high-performing professionals who manage the Nike de México end2end Inbound (Transportation and Customs & Trade operation s) , who is responsible from managing the inbound operations from origin to final destinations in México.

You will closely collaborate with teams on local, LATAM & Geo levels such as Warehousing , Transportation, Logistics Finance & Admin, Supply Chain teams like Integrated Fulfilment Planning, Marketplace Supply Chain and support areas like Technology, Finance, Controlling, DSM - Inventory Operations, to mention some.
Also, you are having a close relationship with consultants & law firms.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a bold, team oriented & powerful professional with solid demonstrated experience in end2end supply chain , inbound transport operations and customs & trade to join our México Logistics team, with proven strategic thinking, business oriented, continuous improvement mindset, experience in international trade agreements application, navigating in legal & regulatory complexities always inside compliance, taxes, budgeting & forecast management, strong deliver results driven, high process orientation, able to cross-functionally align, effectively communicate & develop high performance teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in international trade, business, administration, or logistics
  • 5 to 8 years' experience in supply chain or logistics with primary focus in inbound operations (From origins to destinations, ports & terminals management, customs & trade processes)
  • Team member oriented, strong leadership & communication skills
  • Experience in navigating and application of international trade related laws, including trade agreements & taxes.
  • Able to story tell complex problems and action plans.
  • English: 90% (Able to establish business conversation, manage topics & execute deliverables)

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You will be responsible of leading the inbound transportation & customs-trade team who manages processes and execution of inventory flow, Nike systems maintenance, relationship with vendors, interaction with customs brokers, multiple logistics service providers from origin to final node destination, including the flawless compliance of all legal & regulatory processes, including - but not restricted to - tariff classification, NOM, taxes and duties payments, audits, to mention some.

  • Enabling the Logistics strategy setting key deliverables & building short-mid-long-term roadmaps that connect with long-range strategic plans as part of Supply Chain journey.


  • Negotiation of service & tariffs taking advantage of leveraging global & local vendor relationships, budget creation and cost management with prioritization to foster a consistent CPU improvement as a key component of overall supply chain cost.


  • Connect with Nike México, LATAM or Geo teams to understand risks, discuss opportunities that might require any strategic or operational shifts to ensure delivering/improving committed service, costs.


  • Provide inputs to Geo teams regarding global contracts (Ocean carrier, OCM's) and in season allocation challenges.


  • Ensure the timely execution of operation pre, during & post seasons processes to ensure the flow of inventory according to business guidelines, seasonal needs and policies, reflected in KPI premium performance.


  • Translate any legal or regulatory guidelines from authorities into strategic plans, set actions that ensure proper law compliance and effectively communicate to key stakeholders in territory, LATAM & Global level.


  • Maintain systems critical data inputs that ensure end2end business visibility aligned with SupplyChain stakeholders and based on real operational performance.


  • Negotiation of service & tariffs taking advantage of leveraging global & local vendor relationships, budget creation and cost management with prioritization to foster a consistent CPU improvement as a key component of overall supply chain cost.


  • Work in strategic projects & drive best practices implementation with local, geo & global teams as part of cost improvement initiatives to help improve our future strategy and immediate needs on short, mid & long terms


  • Keep open conversations that maintain amiable & friendly discussions with logistics service providers & authorities.


  • Lead, foster, support the growth & development of Logistics team talent as part of Integrated People Planning initiatives.
