WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an Asia Pacific & Latin America (APLA) Finance Lead to join the Portfolio Management team, a core function within Nike Business Planning. This role will be a valuable contributor to the team driving both in-year performance management and long-term financial leadership for the APLA Geography. The Finance Lead will ensure the delivery of financial goals by planning strategic and profitable growth as well as presenting results and recommendations to APLA Senior Leadership.

To be successful in this role, we need someone who is highly motivated and possesses strong financial acumen with the ability to synthesize a diverse range of business/operating metrics to anticipate future state financial impact and influence leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you'll create the Long-Range Financial Plan for APLA and manage performance across the Geography. In addition, you'll lead the analysis of APLA's monthly and quarterly reporting and forecasting process. With full visibility across APLA's business portfolio P&L, you'll coordinate with Territories and central functions on timing, process, and communication of APLA results and expected performance.

  • Prepare and own the financial model that supports our P&L consolidation
  • Assist in the strategic planning process and transitioning models into an operating plan and budget
  • Collaborate with Territory Finance teams in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Mexico, and Central & South America to consolidate APLA Financial plans as well as guide future plans based on portfolio risk & opportunities
  • Represent APLA Finance in cross-functional IBP forums at both the Territory and Geography levels which includes presenting financials and assessing the financial impacts of Consumer & Marketplace operational plans
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses to support decisions around Nike-critical initiatives streamlining processes, and tools to improve efficiencies and achieve operational excellence

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Your stakeholders will truly range the gamut, from collaboration with APLA Senior Leadership to the cross-functional teams that support them including Global Business Planning, Territory Finance, and Strategy. You will also collaborate with various Finance Expert Function teams (e.g. Consumer, Marketplace, Gross Margin, Supply Chain, Marketing, and SG&A) to create Long-Range Financial Planning objectives and partner closely on the performance management against Annual Operating Plans.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance/FP&A, Strategic Planning, Accounting, and/or Annual Budgeting within a large multinational corporation or Public Accounting/Consulting firm
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills; and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate status, issues/risks, and opportunities with leadership
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and managing multiple, competing priorities and requests, while maintaining high standards for quality and attention to detail
  • Consistent track record in developing high-profile, influential, and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers
