The Society in Sport team in Social & Community Impact makes reflective and strategic investments through a community lens. We invest to protect the ecosystem of youth sport and all other investments we need to move the world forward through sport.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Social & Community Impact team is looking for a Finance Analyst will support financial reporting and data analysis, collection, tracking, and reporting on Nike Inc's commitment to invest 2% of annual pre-tax income in communities across the world. The candidate will also support payment processing and identifying areas for process improvements and strengthening ways of working. This candidate will work with internal stakeholders such as Global Controlling, Nike Tax, and Global Business Planning. The ideal candidate is passionate about Nike's purpose priorities. Some experience with the mechanics behind philanthropic activity is preferred. We are looking for a leader who is eager to learn and continue to grow themselves as well as be a part of Nike's impact across the globe.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • Overall team finance support
  • Assist with annual budget process
  • Lead collection, tracking, reconciling and reporting on corporate-wide commitment to invest 2% of annual pre-tax income in communities across the world
  • Assist with design and collection of data associated with SCI's strategy
  • Review data inputs in Salesforce for quality and consistency
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of Nike's 501©3, the NIKE Foundation
  • Partner with SCI teams to review financial performance on regular cadence
  • Various financial analyses as directed by Director of Finance and Sr. Director, Sport & Society
  • Identify opportunities and develop solutions to improve financial, accounting or other business processes
  • Serve as source of information and provide guidance to global teammates on proper accounting treatment for charitable giving

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Sport & Society, Director of Finance, Social & Community Impact

This position will work with a wide variety of functional areas of expertise, both internal and external to the organization. This role will work directly with the SCI Finance Director and sit in the larger SCI Sport & Society team. This role will also work with SCI Finance and Operations groups, global SCI, and other enabling functions across the Nike Enterprise. Notable relationships with Global Business Planning, Nike Tax and Global Controlling.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's or equivalent, with focus on accounting of finance preferred. Or, combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • 3+ years of progressive, relevant experience
  • Demonstrated interest and experience across multiple functions is a plus
  • Finance support and management
  • Proficient in visual communication (KeyNote and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
