We're looking for an Expert Merchant for the Global Women's Lifestyle Apparel business. This role will serve as a key leadership partner to the Sr. Director and provide day to day leadership to the merchants. This role is responsible to craft the merchandising strategy, develop the long-range line plans, and create seasonal assortments for a large and complex segment of our apparel product portfolio.

Who you will work with

You will work closely with global and geo merchants and cross-functional teams within product creation, planning and brand marketing. You'll partner closely with product creation partners to ensure our product lines are aligned to the consumer and business opportunities that have been identified. You will also work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory, consumer behaviors and trend.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years' experience of merchandising and/or product creation experience, in a vertical or wholesale environment
• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication up to the senior executive level and out to wide, diverse audiences.
• Understanding of retail key performance indicators and profit based metrics
• Strong strategy building skills that shape the future of the business
• Values differences and builds positive relationships with high cultural awareness
• Solves problems using limited information and implements solutions with the ability to foresee most future implications

What you will work on

As an Expert Merchant on the Global Merchandising team, you will create consumer-led product line plans and assortments that deliver on the Women's Sportswear Apparel business expectations including sales, growth, margin and productivity. You will monitor franchise, and classification health, and drive product lifecycle discussions. You will partner with the Sr. Director to lead key product merchandising gates of line planning, global assortment review, and merchandising assortment review for apparel. You will coach and mentor Merchants with a focus on merchandising excellence.
