WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

Energy Marketing (Fashion Collaboration) seeks, signs and leverages new talent in the worlds of art, design, fashion and streetwear for NIKE. It is responsible for managing relationships on the forefront of youth culture, leading product collaboration and building the edges of the brand. This role will report directly into the Director, Brand Marketing Womens Japan and be a key member of the Women's Brand Marketing team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role must have the ambition to be one of the world's most innovative storytellers, value visionary thinking, playing as a team and championing imagination to create an inclusive culture. A belief in our brand vision, with a relentless curiosity for the consumer are essential to helping us create the future for the Nike brand. Strong experience in talent relationship management and brand marketing within fashion and/or styling in Tokyo are critical for this role.

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in brand marketing and/or PR (Public Relations)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • Prior cultural marketing experience with understanding of consumer landscape
  • Knowledge of how to lead and execute cross-functional marketing campaigns
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills fluent in Japanese and English
  • Domestic and international travel required for relationship management and experience activation for 20% of the time.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You will manage talent relationships and build integrated marketing plans to localize the NIKE brand and deliver on our priorities in Japan. This includes aligning talent to strategic planning, brand storytelling and product collaborations. Success will be measured based on increases in our brand strength, consumer engagement and business growth.

  • Your key internal partners are Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing, Integrated Media, Brand Planning & Operations, Sports Marketing, Communications and Social & Community Impact.
  • Your key external partners are talent from the art, design, fashion and streetwear worlds, along with local agencies, creative collectives and community leaders.
  • You will select the right talent needed to effectively connect with our consumer, while developing journeys and delivering outstanding service to manage and maintain a portfolio to meet our brand objectives.
  • This includes seeking consumer insights, extending global brand concepts for Japanese consumers, developing high-impact ideas and marketing plans to activate our brand around Tokyo.
  • You will lead an end-to-end marketing process and participate in leadership reviews to ensure all energy marketing meets our global brand standards.
  • You will contribute to strategic planning, make presentations to drive inspiration and collaboration, while leading meetings, ideating and communicating direction.
  • You will negotiate contracts, manage a studio space and a product seeding offense, while being responsible for managing a budget with the operations team to ensure we maximise our resources and deliver on time.
