The Global Always On team, part of Nike Brand Creative, oversees creation of Nike's seasonal foundational photo and video assets, used to full channels across our owned, paid and partner ecosystems. This team is heavily focused on photo art direction at scale, bringing sport style to life for Nike. We make athlete dreams real.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Work with the Art Director, Sr. Creative Director and studio team to develop the visual direction.
  • Help to craft the Art Direction, uphold excellence, ambition, and team spirit.
  • Deliver best-in-class photography, video content, digital and experience design in service of the brand & consumer.
  • Oversee and lead a team of freelance cross-functional creative partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with photographers, DPs, stylists and creatives.
  • Help craft art direction for performance video shoots, ensuring our content is always on-brand, diverse, contemporary, desirable and within agreed budgets.
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, design, film, art, media and technology as relevant to Nike and the design team.
  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively outstanding, and delivered timely.
  • Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency and success.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with the Sr Creative Director, creative studio teammates, Global Brand, Nike Digital and Retail Marketing, Merchandising, Global Styling, the Content Production teams and Geo/City Studios.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 7+ years graphic design and art direction experience in branded content, agency, editorial or marketing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A passion for the Athlete, Sport and Culture.
  • Solid portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a seasoned background in digital and editorial design.
  • Great knowledge and expertise in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital production and publishing across editorial formats and platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of today's media landscape and how people engage with content, with in-depth knowledge of interactive communication, processes and user-interface design for digital products.
  • Ability to collaborate with and creatively manage freelance design talent.
  • Ability as a mentor, with a knack and passion for helping everyone on the team-especially senior-level and entrepreneurial talent-to grow, improve, succeed, and advance toward collective and individual goals.
  • Ability to lead team efforts while also working independently to deliver on individual responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.
  • Laser-sharp focus with ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong time management with ability to toggle between daily and long-term tasks, keeping workstreams moving forward simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills; adept at presenting and defending creative work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with dedication to foster cross-functional teamwork and an open, positive and collaborative environment.
  • Highly developed curiosity and in-depth understanding of design culture, current and past.
  • Astute attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills in service of your creative projects.
