The annual base salary for this position ranges from $146,400.00 in our lowest geographic market to $346,200.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The North America Women's Lifestyle Creative Director is based in Los Angeles and leads the Nike Women's Lifestyle creative work streams in the North American Geography. This CD will deliver outstanding creative work that aligns with the North American Geo Lifestyle strategy and functional goals.

As our Lifestyle Creative Director, you will define and amplify the voice and graphic language that expresses the heart and soul of the brand, using athletes
, products, and services to inspire our consumers. You will lead and champion creative concepts and executions across North America in partnership with internal and external creative teams and other marketing functions. The work in North America will focus on seasonal and category defining creative launches and brand campaigns that go full end-to-end, including creative brand strategy, concepting, narrative, physical experiences, digital and social executions.

This role builds a positive relationship with the North America Consumer Construct & Lifestyle Marketing Function to help strategize against brand launches. Your experiences should be well rounded and include a mix of many subject areas, from concepting and implementing outstanding creative and branding, photoshoots and campaign development to strategy and narrative, and developing digital journeys driven by consumer insight. You'll have a clear digital platform understanding, with a knowledge of the different channels and the creative that clearly works into them, whilst driving compelling innovative solutions.

We seek an expert team leader, adept at leading creatives and familiar with working closely with art directors, writers, strategists, designers, and producers. Ability to both understand and participate in strategic conversations and lead others through the creative conception, development, and execution process. Experience working at scale and leading complex work streams independently is a positive attribute. You're outstanding at crafting the detail from conception to delivery. You're consistently able to connect the dots between culture and eCommerce to find the common ground between a brand and its consumers.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The work will be varied and will involve working from North American Geo Women's Lifestyle briefs for projects that connect with the audience in outstanding ways. Innovative thinking, strategy, and tactical execution across the full Nike ecosystem (digital, social, apps, retail, physical experiences, etc.) and media that drive a full end-to-end Creative Offense. You will work from strategy through concept and finish with premium executions at all levels across all channels, always thinking about the next click and the audience. Understanding of social first campaigns and brand activations is a must.

This role will:

- Manage the North America Women's Brand Creative Lifestyle team, providing leadership, inspiration, mentorship, support and direction. Encourage excellence, ambition, and team spirit.

- Craft the future voice and storyline of the North America Geography Women's lifestyle brand across every Nike consumer touchpoints.

- Maintain clear communication and planning with a focus on setting the team up for success.

- You'll both lead your own workstreams whilst also empowering those around you to drive their own work independently.

- Communicate concepts to various internal and external audiences, as a creative lead, you'll be responsible to address feedback from various partners and drive the development of work to ensure that all work is delivered on time.

- Work strategically to drive brand awareness and deliver strong engagement through creative deliverables.

- Deliver outstanding photography, video content, digital design, narrative and brand activations in service of Womens Lifestyle on key projects and moments.

- Develop and maintain relationships with photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers, and their agents for editorial creative, working strategically with other leads in the business to ensure the strongest approach to external talent.

- Lead all aspects of art direction and narrative for Women's Lifestyle shoots for key projects, ensuring our content is always on-brand, connected to sport, diverse, contemporary, desirable and within agreed budgets.

- Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency, accuracy and successful completion.

- Collaborate with the larger team to critically evaluate the creative process and continually improve it.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You'll work alongside other creative leads to drive functional excellence ensuring your team gets opportunities to learn, inspire and share knowledge with each other. Reporting directly to the Senior Creative Director, partnering closely with the brand marketing team and the other creative directors, art directors, narrative directors, designers, studio managers, and producers, while handling projects across multiple workstreams. External creatives are also a core part of your team - commissioning various work across multiple subject areas. You will collaborate with your counterparts across other internal Nike teams to ensure consistency across our work and help establish and develop our creative network, as well as align on the right stories at the right time against the right channels.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of creative experience in creative direction, art direction and design; primarily passionate about consumer brands.
  • A love for all things sport, culture, style and fashion.
  • Experience in technical knowledge when it comes to campaign development, brand strategy, digital platforms, consumer journeys, and innovative practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills that enable the team to flourish in your team with a strong ability to listen and empower your team.
  • Experience leading photography and video/film productions, from pre-production, to on-set leadership and post-production.
  • Innovative storytelling across multiple categories with the ability to see a story where others don't.
  • Good experience in leading agencies and internal collaborators along with working well in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Exposure to, and in-depth understanding of consumer behavior. You have significant consumer knowledge in North America.
  • Ability to work on-site in a hybrid model in Los Angeles. This role is not open to full-time remote work or working out of other city offices.
