This role will report to the Design Director, Energy Apparel. Additionally, you will partner internally and cross-functionally with our Product Management, Technical Development and Catalyst Brand teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As our Apparel Designer II in Energy Apparel, you will lead design efforts and utilize your exceptional design skills to create original, style-led innovative designs that accurately reflect Nike's design philosophies and lead the industry. The candidate needs to have a distinct talent for responding to business objectives with creative design solutions aligned to consumer insights.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related design field or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • Minimum 1-4 years of relevant work experience in Apparel/Fashion design.
  • Exceptional ability to apply and perform design skills, including hand drawing/sketching, hand illustrations, need to be well versed in Adobe Illustrator, concept ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Procreate for iPad.
  • Comprehensive understanding of garment construction.
  • Comprehensive understanding of textile sciences.
  • Comprehensive understanding of apparel trims.
  • 3D design program experience is a plus.
  • Ability to build design worlds, mood boards and presentations of creative vision.
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
  • Accustomed to working in a rapidly changing, high growth environment and to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
  • Embody the passion to work on innovation and style.
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude and the ability to work efficiently in a quick paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As our Apparel Designer II in Energy Apparel, you'll design innovative apparel product with direction given from design management, utilize design skills to create original, innovative designs that appropriately reflect Nike's design philosophy. You'll communicate design concepts effectively and present concepts within the Energy Apparel organization.
