ABOUT OUR TEAM

The Converse Consumer Planning team unleashes the power of information and data to forecast, predict, and obsess our consumer demand. These insights drive decisions and integrated plans that help to ensure our consumer has access to the products they want, when they want them, and how they want to get them.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report to the Director of Consumer Planning. This role is heavily collaborative, working with many cross-functional teams such as direct, wholesale, merchandising, finance, and global planning.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Consumer Planner to join the Converse North America Consumer Planning team. This data minded individual will drive efforts to forecast and predict our consumer demand, partner with channel planning teams to create product, marketplace, and inventory plans, deliver data solutions that drive clarity to our results and plans, and partner with the analytics teams to drive enterprise data strategies that service our business needs.

This individual plays a strategic role acting as a liaison between Channels (Digital, Wholesale, Stores), Finance, and Merchandising to drive alignment and generate a Demand Plan driven by Integrated Business Planning processes. The role requires someone who can be agile, roll-up their sleeves, and is excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up. You have a passion for data and can identify trends and synthesize demand signals to develop accurate demand plans. You ask questions, are continually learning, and are finding opportunities to shared knowledge with others.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • 2+ years in merchandise planning, demand planning or business planning
  • An understanding of key business tradeoffs with experience in the Retail or Wholesale industries a plus
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
  • Self-starter with the skills to manage through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence across diverse audiences

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will work alongside business partners to unlock the power of quantitative and qualitative data to drive Converse forward towards an integrated planning process. To do this, you will:

  • Support critical business and product planning deliverables pre-season, in-season, and post-season including seasonal plans, S&OP, and long-range forecast submissions.
  • Provide information, analysis, and recommendations to drive planning decisions during all phases of seasonal product creation (long range through end of season)
  • Leverage marketplace and channel insight to influence early stages of the seasonal product creation process to maximize future season opportunities
  • Build plug code, style & style-color forecasts using seasonal line plans, historical information and insights gained from partners.
  • Consolidate demand by channel and identify and resolve gaps between financial targets & demand plan
  • Lead Marketplace Deployment strategy and repeatable process to facilitate key product allocations across direct channels and wholesale partners, maximizing customer fill rates and margin realization
  • Partner with the analytics team on creation of tools and common metrics to be leveraged by planning teams across North America, as the foundation for our GTM process and results measurement practices
