This position will require flexibility, curiosity, and comfort in ambiguity as you work with multiple Territories across the globe from Korea, Japan, Pacific, SEA&I, & LATAM.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
APLA merchandising team; in particular NFS Merchandising, Consumer Merchandising and Consumer Planning. We also work with Global Jordan merchandising team, APLA finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for consumerists with an affinity for product that enjoy the energy of moving at the pace of retail and the consumer. A successful Buyer II will deliver profitable, consumer-focused Rebuy assortments while balancing closeout opportunities for the overall Geography. Strong business acumen, the ability to manage multiple seasons, and a deep understanding of trends, consumers, and the marketplace are essential for this role.
This role is responsible for adapting & curating consumer right assortments with end in mind for the Nike Factory Store business by using historical data, analytics and real-time market feedback to advise the future (coming seasons)
The candidate should possess retail competence and analytical abilities, understand retail environments, and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 2+ years experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment
- Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience is preferable
- Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and others
- Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will plan the seasonal assortment to retail capacity in NFS. You will understand related aspects of the business and marketplace in making your plans; including coordinating between genders, business dimensions (FW, APP, EQP) and how individual products or collections impact each other. You will collaborate cross functionally to ensure assortment plans meet consumer demand and brand strategies and hit the right balance between Rebuy and Closeout. You will influence Global merchandising team to make sure Global line serves APLA consumer needs and collaborate with other GEO's merchandising team to bring to life harmonized and productive seasonal line.
