At Next, a cloud-only company, we rely on the cloud for our entire operation, making cloud cost management a critical focus. As a FinOps Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving excellence in managing cloud costs, with ample opportunity to grow and innovate.In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with cloud resource owners, building a culture of accountability around cloud expenses. Your mission? To empower teams with the best-in-class tools and processes, enabling them to take ownership of their costs with minimal friction.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll create and enhance visibility into cloud costs through advanced cost management tools—ranging from automated alerts to budget systems. You'll be in charge of adopting cutting-edge FinOps strategies like anomaly detection and AI-driven forecasting while continuously seeking new ways to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
Your strong technical abilities will be instrumental as you design automation tools that drive cloud operations to peak performance. You'll dive deep into Next's cloud architecture, mastering how resource provisioning, scaling, and utilization impact overall cost, and finding innovative ways to streamline and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of significant experience as a cloud/DevOps Engineer. AWS is a must. GCP and Azure - an advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing cloud costs and FinOps.
- Proven record of FinOps internal tools development, e.g., cost-saving automation
- Solid experience with cost observability tools, e.g., CloudHealth.
- Great problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to introduce new technologies/tools/processes in an engineering organization and to follow their adoption to full success.
- Great project management capabilities - the ability to define the scope, design, and plan high-quality, large-sized projects independently.
- Loves to work with people and mentor them.
- Good presentation skills
- Advantage: Infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), Docker/K8S,
