The Host/ Hostess position provides operational support at NeueHouse , while ensuring that excellent quality and superb service is delivered to all members. The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting all Guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism. They set the stage for an exceptional dining experience through making every guest feel welcome, accurately quo ting wait times, seating guests and accommodating their needs. This position will also support the restaurant staff to provide seamless service.

Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests as they come into the restaurant
- Delivers food and wine menu in a friendly and professional manner
- Creating an environment where guests feel welcome by a cknowledging guest needs, anticipat ing guest needs and responding promptly
- Takes restaurant reservations accurately.
- R eport for duty on time and prepared for shift
- Answers all questions regarding menus accurately
- Understands Neuehouse ethos and can explain the brand eloquently.
- Take direction from the Manager, Supervisor, Server, and Bartender to provide seamless service
- Knowledge of all table numbers and their positions.
- Cleans and polishes menus
- Follows all safety and sanitation procedures that pertain to the job
- Ability to multitask .
- Ability to prioritize work activities, provide accurate information and assistance to any management or colleagues' request in a timely and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of hospitality or customer service in a fine dining restaurant
- Has knowledge of restaurant reservation system
- Has the ability to input data in the POS system
- Must be service orient ed with excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work activities, provide accurate information and assistance to any management or colleagues' request in a timely and courteous manner.
- Possesses a p ositive, proactive, polite attitude
- Ability to keep calm and sustain composure when faced with any unusual situations.
- To be decisive, accepting responsibility for making things happen, thinking ahead and developing contingency plans (while ensuring that you have the support to get the job done).
