Job Summary
As a Software Development Engineer for the NetApp Core Storage Engineering Group, you will work with a group of talented software engineers focused on delivering the best-in-class enterprise storage products. You will work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions.
Job Requirements
- Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems, including authoring project specifications
- Write unit and automated integration tests
- Develop maintainable, efficient, and reliable software using C, C++ or Python programming languages
- Participate in customer escalations
- Conduct and participate in technical discussions within the team as well as with other groups across business units in the company
- Well-grounded in the basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Creative and analytical approach to problem solving ability is essential
Education & Experience
- Typically requires 0-2 years of related industry experience
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, experience is required.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $107,000 - $150,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
