NetApp is seeking a Social Impact Program Manager to bring subject matter expertise in data and AI literacy to our Social Impact Team!

This role is instrumental in shaping and diversifying the future data and AI workforce. It offers a unique opportunity to spearhead initiatives that empower children and youth with data and AI literacy and skills, with an emphasis on underrepresented and underserved groups. Our aim is to prepare the next generation for the data and AI era, nurturing a diverse cohort of data science and AI professionals. By inspiring varied individuals to pursue careers in data science and AI, we aim to meet and diversify the growing workforce needs in this rapidly evolving field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead NetApp's data and AI literacy initiatives, enhancing and expanding engagement and impact with employees, customers, and community partners.
  • Develop engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities to introduce fundamental data and AI concepts and skills.
  • Innovate and scale signature volunteer opportunities supporting data and AI literacy for children and youth.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to create a comprehensive training pipeline for underrepresented groups, leading to data/AI roles and careers.
  • Develop and establish a data and AI literacy hub in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to broaden access to data and AI literacy, skills and careers.
  • Administer grantmaking initiatives, from identifying potential grantees to overseeing the grantmaking process and measuring and reporting impact.
  • Evaluate and report the impact of our programs regularly, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in data and AI literacy.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders about our social impact programs and initiatives.
  • Manage vendors and budget.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional experience is required for this role.
  • Strong, clearly defined background in data science and AI concepts is required.
  • Experience in educational program development, particularly for children and youth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for social impact and a commitment to creating positive change.
  • Proven ability to foster strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Education, or a related field preferred. Advanced degree a plus.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $177,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
