As a company committed to developing our future workforce, we created a program that will enable you to fast track your career through classroom and on-the-job training and clear benchmarks.

Every year, NetApp runs global S3 Academy classes. At the start of the program, we will fly you to the United States to take part in our robust 90-day training program based in Raleigh Durham NC, USA at our facilities designed for entry-level talent. During this training, Academy Participants gain the foundational knowledge needed to have a basic understanding of the Storage Industry, NetApp, and products and solutions. Additionally, they effectively develop transferable soft skills that will allow them to excel within the organization and in their long-term careers.

You will experience an exciting 3 months with Graduate peers from all over the world. Afterwards you will return to Italy to start the on-the-job portion of your training.

This is a hybrid position, when you return to Italy the expectation will be to be in the office at minimum 2 days a week.

Job Requirements

  • Assist with managing the lab and demo systems used during the post sales, maintaining, and improving the lab, setting up new environments, and controlling the stock of parts and demo systems
  • Work on design, implementation, and verification of systems/subsystems
  • Responsible for providing support in development and testing activities of other engineers that involve several interdependencies
  • Participate in professional services projects and learn how to professionally deploy and administer NetApp storage solutions
  • Explore new technology trends and products, like DevOps tools, to investigate their application into NetApp business
  • Be a valuable member of the team, with actual responsibilities and contributions
  • Work effectively with senior engineers within Business Unit

Your Profile

  • No previous work experience necessary but should have general understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python
  • Excellent technical skills with background in Linux/Unix systems and IP networking
  • Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as docker, kubernetes, Jenkins, ansible, etc.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as a code tools such as Terraform
  • Works well within a team AND independently
  • A positive, flexible attitude, creative and analytical approach to problem solving

Education

  • Recent completion (within the past 4 years) of a university degree in Computer science, Telecommunications, Physics (Bachelor's or Master's) or similar
