Job Requirements
- Ensure VAT compliance in the EMEA region, adhering to laws and regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify VAT implications and ensure accurate treatment.
- Reconcile VAT accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns on time for each country of operation.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of VAT transactions and invoices.
- Stay updated on VAT legislation in the EMEA region and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and review VAT reports, including Intrastat and EC Sales List reports.
- Support VAT audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with preferred experience in VAT accounting, compliance, or tax-related roles.
- Strong understanding of EMEA VAT laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) and Tax engines (OneSource, Vertex) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.and excellent problem-solving and research skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on VAT regulations.
