Job Summary:

The main responsibility of this role is to drive revenue generation through Channel Partners. The Area Partner Leader Director will develop and execute the Channel Sales strategy for the assigned area, working closely with the Area Vice President, The Area Partner Director will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and developing Distributors, GSIs, Alliances, and Channel partners. The role also involves facilitating joint selling between Channel Ecosystems and the NetApp direct sales team.

The Area Partner Leader Director will interact with senior management, executives, and major customers. Strong communication, negotiation, and business partnership skills are crucial for success in this role. They will collaborate with Regional Directors and Direct Sales Management to share best practices and ensure consistent messaging. The role requires leveraging partner solutions and resources within the NetApp sales force and selected Channel Partners and Distributors.

Other responsibilities include supporting Channel Sales Managers in selling to major customers, making final decisions on administrative or operational matters, and controlling planning, staffing, and budgeting. The Area Partner Leader Director will participate in corporate development and may be involved in projects, programs, and people evaluation.

Requirements for this role include excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to travel within the assigned region, strong leadership and influencing skills, understanding of storage technologies and competitive offerings, experience in target account selling and consultative sales techniques, and aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Channel Sales Representative with a track record of exceeding sales quotas and working with sales organizations and technical teams. Creative problem-solving skills, budgeting experience, and the ability to manage management-level employees are also desired.

Education and experience requirements include a minimum of 15 years of experience as an individual contributor and 7 to 10 years as a people manager. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required, and a graduate degree is preferred. Expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is also necessary.
