Overview

If you are passionate about building advanced visualizations and augmented analytics powered by AI to drive enterprise analytics success, this is great opportunity to join our Data Analytics Center for Enablement (C4E) team. The incumbent will drive significant impact and value through the development and delivery of Data Analytics technologies, solutions, and services across Navy Federal Credit Union. This role will collaborate closely with business unit and ETS stakeholders, Data Engineers, and Data scientists to ensure visualizations tell a data-driven story with immersive, interactive, and intuitive dashboard design. The role will enable world-class self-service, augmented analytics for business users across the organization. The candidate will also deliver Business Intelligence as a Service (BIaaS) capabilities to business units across the enterprise. The candidate will enable stakeholders across the enterprise to stay current on the new tools, best practices and methodologies to drive insights.

Responsibilities

  • Champion visualization and analytics solutions across BUs developing self-service capabilities, providing training, establishing best practices, and collaborating effectively.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing data analytics and visualizations that will help users understand complex data and make informed business decisions.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of UX/UI design principles while advising internal business leaders of best data visualization practices.
  • Combine deep understanding of our member experience, with passion for data visualization and user experience to streamline, optimize, and innovate analytical interfaces that are easily absorbed, heavily adopted and drive high quality business decision making.
  • Establish and communicate standards and best practices for constructing and delivering interactive data visualizations, dashboards, scorecards, and insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Rebuild and migrate dashboards/reports from legacy BI platforms and on-prem data sources to cloud native BI platforms and cloud data sources.
  • Ensure structure and representation of data are optimized for clarity and reusability to deliver actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data visualization to continuously improve visualizations.
  • Implement Augmented Analytics powered by AI, ML and NLP features/capability in our anchor BI platforms to drive enterprise adoption and success in insight generation and collaboration.
  • Maximize the value of new and existing solutions by driving adoption and enhance solution integrity through proactive monitoring and support.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new analytics platform capabilities to serve business stakeholder needs.
  • Track performance monitoring, usage reporting, access, and license management for BI toolset.
  • Provide scalable solutions for handling large data volumes, complex, and interactive reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality project deliverables that are valued by the business and presents them in such a manner that they are easily understood by project stakeholders.
  • Act as technical SMEs to drive the delivery of analytics and data project using Agile methodology.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in data BI, and Analytics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise with using enterprise anchor BI platforms Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles to develop immersive, interactive, and intuitive visualizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience communicating end to end data outcomes visually and through story telling.
  • Significant experience in delivering data analytics solutions to accelerate business decisions.
  • Experience working with Python, R, and SQL for Big Data Analytics.
  • Experience in documenting BI standards, training end users, and communicating with analytics user communities.
  • Experience working with Agile teams in productionizing capabilities at scale ensuring high availability and performance in Azure or similar cloud.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrate change management and evangelize adoption of analytics capabilities in Cloud.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and executive presence.
  • Significant experience leading analysis, design, and architecture efforts.
  • Advanced knowledge of project lifecycles and management methodologies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience with Augmented Analytics capabilities including integration and roll out of Power BI Copilot, Tableau Pulse or similar.
  • Experience working with big data sets in Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Experience developing and deploying front end applications using HTML, .Net, JS, and/or CSS.
  • Experience with front end design technologies to build creative widgets.
  • Experience in DevOps, monitoring analytics and productionizing ML Feature Stores.
  • Knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products, and services.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Salary: $127,900 - $199,900 annually (Engineer)
$147,200 - $229,925 annually (Principal Engineer)
