Summer Associate Internship (Recoveries Specialist)

Vienna, VA

Overview

Team Overview: Our team provides support to the recovery team that collects on charged off lending losses for the Credit Union. That support includes back-office duties, a team of contractors who work parallel to our LCR team to help recover losses and managing a yearly debt sale.

Summer is our peak time for the yearly debt sale preparation and execution. The summer associate will help us review files, process payments, perform system clean-up efforts, and attend meetings to observe what the sale process consists of and what behind the scenes work is required. They will have exposure to multiple departments on these meetings and have a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative project. We expect some involvement in the ongoing CACS X upgrade as well during this time, so they will be part of another substantial project in the Collections Division.
