Overview
Team Overview: Our team is the design and documentation branch of a training team that supports initiatives for Navy Federal's Fraud Operations group. The Summer Associate will be exposed to project management skills and documentation as they will be supporting our Documentation Specialist's efforts to maintain our manual.
Potential Projects:
Training Manual Updates
- Understand and apply best practices for revising and enhancing training materials.
- Learn techniques for organizing and formatting training content for usability, accessibility, clarity, and brevity.
Documentation of Procedures
- Develop skills in documenting complex processes and procedures, ensuring they are easy to follow and replicate.

Project Management for Security Initiatives
- Acquire knowledge in coordinating Security projects, including planning, executing, and monitoring project progress.
- Learn to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2025 and ending in August 2025. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.
Responsibilities
Revise and Enhance Training Materials
- Regularly update and improve training manuals to ensure they remain clear, comprehensive, and effective for end users.
Organize and Format Training Content
- Apply best practices in organizing and formatting training documents to enhance usability and accessibility for diverse audiences.
Document Complex Procedures
- Accurately documents detailed processes and procedures, ensuring they are easy to understand and follow for consistence and reliability.
Utilize Documentation Tools
- Employ various documentation tools to create, maintain, and manage procedure manuals and other essential documentation.
Support Security Project Management
- Assist in the coordination of Security initiatives by planning, executing, and monitoring project tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and mitigate risk.

Qualifications
- Studying adult education/learning theory, communication, design work, and/or a related field.
- Basic skills with databases, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to research, analyze, and organize concepts and create conceptual approaches and solutions.
- Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Experience in managing multiple priorities and changing requirements/priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.
- Ability to maintain accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Effective English grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.
