Overview

The Brand & Product Marketing team is responsible for designing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, membership, product take-up, and member engagement. We partner with business units and channel teams to identify member and business needs and design marketing solutions. We develop and execute marketing programs for members and prospects by partnering across the marketing division to collaborate on marketing briefs, channel activation plans, and execution. We lead and manage agency partners in the areas of advertising, media, and sponsorships.

The Summer Associate will have the opportunity to support brand strategy, partnership and sponsorship programs and, media management.

The Summer Associate will participate in a collaborative, team-driven network to bring cross-channel member-centric marketing campaigns to life. They will receive guidance and direction from the team and management. Utilize and further develop technical and soft skills, business knowledge, and creative problem-solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day-to-day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies, and procedures.

The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2025 and ending in August 2025. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Aid and support the implementation of brand strategies and campaigns to effectively communicate the company's vision, mission, and values.
  • Assist with Brand Sponsorship activities and partnership events.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify brand positioning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand alignment and support for the company's goals.
  • Track and analyze partnership performance, providing regular reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution of media programs.
  • Tasks/assignments may include but are not limited to insight and campaign strategy development, brief writing, design, and copywriting collaboration, channel and target audience strategy, member and prospect research, presentation development, media analysis, and strategy, Email performance Audit and Analysis, Evergreen Media Asset audit and library creation.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities or challenges.
  • Provide support to the Marketing Department's Brand & Product Marketing team; depending on the level of expertise and prior experience, will own small projects and assist strategists with larger projects.
  • Support marketing strategy and initiatives to help members, business units, and the credit union achieve goals.
  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of Marketing staff to accomplish tasks/assignments.
  • Perform Marketing-specific research and analysis, which may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as a priority.
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support.
  • Process and update data in Marketing automated systems; may generate, analyze, write, and deliver Marketing reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Marketing and/or Advertising best practices and execution including brand strategy, positioning, and messaging
  • Interest in financial institution communications, brand & product strategy, partnership development, and media program management.
  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions.
