Real Estate Acquisition Project Manager II

Overview

To manage all aspects of the site selection and acquisition process for Navy Federal branch locations, ATMs and other

Responsibilities

  • Ensure project deliverables are met in accordance with customers' expectations, timelines & budget constraints
  • Develop and present a business case for each proposed site, including pricing strategy, site selection scorecard and analysis of optimal branch location
  • Develop renewal negotiation strategy for leases in market area, including analysis of market comps
  • Identify and travel to potential branch locations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Make recommendations to leadership for the continued analysis of real estate plans
  • Manage Due Diligence process for land purchases, including engagement with third party law firms and civil engineers and review of documents such as concepts plans and American Land Title Association (ALTA) surveys
  • Manage the disposition of leased or owned Navy Federal properties
  • Negotiate financial terms, delivery timeframes and building specifications for acquisition of property, including Letter of Intent (LOI), lease and/or purchase agreements
  • Perform on-going quality control to ensure efficiency and accuracy of processes and procedures
  • Provide market pricing projections for prospective branch locations
  • Coordinate all communication between internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in leading, guiding and mentoring others
  • Significant experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Significant experience in working with diverse internal and external contacts
  • Advanced knowledge of real estate acquisition, including contract negotiations and project planning
  • Advanced knowledge of real estate valuation techniques
  • Expert knowledge of real estate specific software applications
  • Advanced MS Project skills or equivalent project tracking software
  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced word processing and spreadsheet software skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience

Desired Qualification(s)

  • Navy Federal or other financial institution operations
  • CCIM Certification
  • CRE Designation/Certification
