Overview
To plan, influence & lead execution of Navy Federal employee resource group (ERG) and community initiatives, events and programs. Develop, implement, evaluate, and lead volunteer champions, campus leadership and team members in successful in-person and hybrid event activations to support communities where Navy Federal does business. To manage and facilitate implementation and coordination of small, multiple programs, or portions of a larger programs and give-back campaigned that affect and involve business unit activities on campus. Ensure management review of initiatives from concept through planning, analysis, design, socialization and implementation phases. Support execution of program delivery on campus and in alignment with broader enterprise-wide strategy in coordination with campus leadership. Collaborate and network with senior leadership and local partners, internally and externally, to execute enterprise-wide strategies. Demonstrate sound judgment in obtaining solutions to the most complex problems.

Responsibilities
- Review ERG and community program and campaign-related data using performance measurements and indicators to identify areas for opportunity and develop action plans for each indicator or area identified and lead change management
- Consult with team leadership, including campus leaders and business partners, to effectively define action plans and activities that allow team to achieve noted KPIs and short/long-term goals and objectives
- Conduct after action reviews to analyze event effectiveness; identify and address areas of opportunity and make recommendations for future events
- Identify and collaborate with management regarding the current and future resourcing needs
- Identify, scope, document, coordinate, and implement new practices in accordance with program and campaign goals
- Execute ERG and/or community events by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training
- Support management of campus specific program budgets with campus leadership staff
- Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to barriers that would impact program deliverables
- Identify, communicate, and resolve cross-organizational areas of concern that may impede or impact Navy Federal's community or ERG initiatives
- Maintain/archive program documentation (e.g. toolkits, SOPs and guidelines)
- Leads the coordination, logistics and execution of on-campus ERG and community moments that matter, including working internally on A/V, registration, and communicating event details in collaboration with other business units
- Manage and control event collateral and materials (e.g., t-shirts, posters, SWAG)
- Manage philanthropic management platform (e.g., Benevity) and incoming/approved local grants
- Collaborate and prioritize assignments, including project analysis, requirements definition, and implementation of program modifications and enhancements
- Join the Navy Federal Serves Leadership Council and support campus leaders and location-based executive sponsors with ERG and community action planning and implementation
- Develop action plans for conducting internal analyses and collaborate with business partners to identify root causes for employee engagement gaps and establish solutions
- Manage multiple programs and participate in execution of larger enterprise-wide campaigns (e.g. Military Appreciation Month, Holiday Giving) with guidance from leadership
- In partnership with campus leaders, act as relationship manager with various local nonprofits
- Serve on cross-functional teams with campus leadership staff and Community Service Champions to support programs or initiatives of moderate to considerable impact within the business unit &/or across the organization
- Serve as community engagement lead for Annual Navy Federal 5k, as liaison with nonprofit partner beneficiary and internally with other business units
- Serve as an extension of ERG Programs team to plan and activate in-person ERG events (e.g., Military Birthday Celebrations, observances) and other related "moments that matter" with ERG leaders
- Provide event consultation to support volunteer leaders, campus leadership and various champion groups (e.g. Community Service Champions, DIB Champions, Greenies)
- Foster relationships with staff, peers, and business unit leaders horizontally
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of community engagement and ERG programs
- Exposure to workflow and program development including development of requirements documents, procedures, and implementation plans
- Experience cultivating relationships with external community partners in the local community
- Experience in managing multiple initiatives and meet changing requirements and priorities to accomplish objectives and goals, independently or in a team environment
- Experience in collaborating across organizational teams and building partnerships across various functions
- Exposure to leading, training, guiding and mentoring others
- Experience cultivating relationships with leadership and management within diverse and complex operational environments
- Effective program management skills, to include establishing and leading teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful event execution and implementation
- Effective event planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective skill in identifying and analyzing business requirements and recommending solutions
- Innovative thinking skills to resolve issues and facilitate decision-making
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex terms to all levels of audiences
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships
- Bachelor's degree in business, Management, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Desired Qualification(s)
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, and organizational objectives
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
- Project/program management experience or the equivalent combination of training and education
- Knowledge of systems and software (e.g., Benevity, ADO) used at Navy Federal
- Working knowledge of state and Federal laws; industry regulations, principles, and practices; and company policies that govern the business unit's products/services
