Overview
To design and implement enterprise workforce strategies by analyzing trends, forecasting talent needs, and optimizing talent acquisition and management processes that ensure the right talent is in the right place at the right time to support Navy Federal's goals and strategic objectives. Work with senior leaders across the organization to understand business goals, develop workforce plans, and provide data-driven insights to build the workforce of the future. Work independently to interpret and develop solutions to complex business challenges that have a significant impact on the function or branch. Responsibilities
- Manage complex portfolios and products impacting enterprise workforce strategy
- Determine where and when to implement target interventions (e.g. build vs. buy) to ensure the organization or targeted business unit(s) has the right people at the right time to fulfill business mandates
- Collaborate at all levels within and across business unit and HR teams to evaluate a range of workforce information that inform future demand projections for people and skills; align workforce plans with talent acquisition, development, and retention initiatives
- Review and translate workforce plans into alternative actions to drive or support labor and talent management plans and cost strategies to develop and build on the existing workforce
- Codesign effective forecasting and analytical tools and methods such as dashboards and management reports to support talent acquisition, scenario modeling, and cost forecasting
- Forecast future talent needs informed by business goals, market trends, and industry dynamics; identify skill gaps and develop strategies to address them, including reskilling, upskilling, and hiring plans
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of workforce strategies, adapting plans as needed to ensure alignment with changing business needs
- Leverage data and insights to identify needs and gaps, labor-rate planning or other strategic workforce data for management and leadership communications
- Communicate complex workforce planning concepts to stakeholders including HR and business unit executive leadership
- Lead workforce planning initiatives such as headcount metrics analysis, internal and external talent assessments, forecasting, plan roll-out, processes and controls in partnership with enterprise planning groups like Finance and the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office
- Conduct market research and analyze competitor practices to stay informed about industry trends and best practices in workforce planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
- 7-10 years of experience in human resources or business analysis
- Subject matter expert within business area/specialization with understanding of interrelationships of different disciplines
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights to inform decision-makin
- Advanced business acumen to include solid understanding of the financial services industry
- Advanced knowledge of core HR functions and processes (e.g. labor markets, job analysis, centers of excellence, etc.)
- Significant experience using HR systems, databases, and advanced analytics tools
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Significant experience with talent management, employee engagement, and retention strategies
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
