Overview

The team is focused on the OMBP Risk Management & Issue Management Process Enablement. The role will provide analytical and administrative support within the business control environment. Will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the Operational Risk Program for the OMBP. Assist team in gathering and organizing data that will help track, report, and manage unclaimed property. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. The individual must take an active role in identifying and assisting with implementing process, systems, and reporting improvements to reduce administrative overhead and improve the effectiveness of risk management activities.
Provide analytical and administrative support within the business control environment. Responsible for assisting in the execution of the Operational Risk Program for the OMBP. Assist team in gathering and organizing data that will help track, report, and manage unclaimed property. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. Incumbents typically have up to 2 years of risk management, unclaimed property, and/or OMBP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Business Control Manager in all phases of the issue lifecycle, governance, and reporting
  • Partner with multiple business process owners division leaders across the OMBP and NFCU
  • Assist in Identifying recommendations to maximize efficient identification, assessment, and remediation of risk
  • Complete the escheatment process for all unclaimed property
  • Take ownership of legal investigations and escalations
  • Business as usual support and back-up

Qualifications

  • 3 years' Risk Management, Unclaimed Property, or OMBP experience
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and strong attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in MS office products - particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Adept at balancing multiple and competing priorities; excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional reading comprehension and written communication skills
  • Must be located in San Antonio, TX

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Overseas Military Banking Program experience
  • Prior business process management knowledge in OMBP processes (Operations and/or Retail)
  • Prior knowledge and experience in Process Risk and Controls (PRC) or Issue Management
  • Prior experience in escheatment/unclaimed property management

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Flexible)

This job posting is for the Overseas Military Banking Program (OMBP) operated by Navy Federal Credit Union. The position is located in San Antonio, Texas and will be supporting Navy Federal's contract with the Department of Defense to operate OMBP
