Position Summary:

If you're a highly motivated Database Administrator (DBA) looking to take your experience to the next level by working side-by-side with amazing talent supporting day-to-day systems activities, this is your opportunity!

As a DBA at NAVEX, you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the company's revenue-generating product databases, including installation, backup and recovery, patching, and monitoring. You will be involved in deploying new customer databases, maintaining data feeds, and modifying existing databases using in-house tools and custom T-SQL. And that's just the beginning!

What you'll do:

  • Build, monitor, and maintain SQL servers and databases for our SaaS applications
  • Ensure security of customer data by managing backups, user permissions, encryption, and related technologies
  • Develop, analyze, and tune complex T-SQL code to optimize performance or address business constraints
  • Implement and maintain data integration between customer and non-customer databases using SSIS
  • Update production data to implement and support new and existing customers
  • Create, manage, and monitor SQL Agent jobs and schedules
  • Document and automate recurring tasks using scripting tools
  • Assist Senior DBA with day-to-day activities and special projects
  • Assist business units with new customer integration and configuration
  • Work closely with Product Engineering to deploy database changes to production
  • Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation with some off-hour/weekend

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of DBA experience with large production databases in an enterprise environment and Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher
  • Strong SSIS experience; working knowledge of SSRS
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems using native tools in SQL Server and Windows
  • Knowledge of SQL backup/restore procedures and recovery models, and SQL Server native high availability and disaster recovery options
  • Knowledge of indexes, index maintenance, statistics, and query optimization
  • Experience implementing operational automation using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and operate in a fast-paced, team environment with frequent tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to drive results through your job competencies of attention to detail, systems thinking and technical aptitude
  • Ability to drive results through NAVEX core competencies of accountability, customer focus, drives results and instills trust

  • The minimum starting pay range for this role is $95,000 per annum.
  • Pay progression based on your performance.
