Are you a motivated individual looking for an opportunity to grow within a high-performing team? We’re seeking a Working Student - Payroll to join our Berlin office. If you have some initial experience in Accounting or Payroll and can efficiently manage tasks and requests, this role could be a perfect fit. You will collaborate closely with our Payroll and People teams to support our rapidly growing workforce.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, has strong communication skills, can prioritize tasks effectively, and takes accountability. You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Payroll department.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with payroll processing, including collecting and reviewing time and attendance data.
  • Support audits, such as payroll tax-related audits and Workers' Compensation reviews.
  • Ensure accurate recording and processing of employee hours and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Help collect tax forms and make withholding changes to ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining Payroll policies and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in Accounting, Payroll, or a similar area (internship or part-time work preferred).
  • Proficient in both German and English.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Workday) is a plus, but willingness to learn is essential.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
