As a leader within our global Data team, you will manage the data warehouse, integrations, and BI tools for Navan. You will work closely with stakeholders across Analytics, Finance, Product, and Engineering, supporting our global Travel and Expense businesses. You will help define our data systems and build ‘data as a product’ for a rapidly maturing company. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in developing and maintaining performant data systems, from ingestion, integrations, and pipelines, to warehouses and orchestration. This leader will also leverage a strong business acumen to interpret data and make a difference every day. We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of a fast moving, fast-growing company; you should be able to go hands-on when necessary, while also driving a long term plan to up-level team processes and performance. What You’ll Do:
- Lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of data warehouse and data platform initiatives across the organization.
- Manage and scale a team of data engineers, architects, and integration specialists to support ongoing data operations and innovations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure data platforms support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
- Partner with independent business units across the globe to create a unified view of company data assets, while conforming to local laws and regulations.
- Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes and data models, ensuring data integrity and high performance across all systems.
- Oversee data governance, quality, security, and compliance policies to ensure that all data initiatives meet regulatory standards.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of the data platform infrastructure, ensuring scalability and stability as the organization grows and matures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and ensure competitive edge in data capabilities.
- Align data strategies with business goals and act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to communicate complex data requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience managing systems in at least 3 of following areas: data warehousing, business intelligence tooling, integrations, data engineering, reporting tooling.
- 3+ years of management experience, including working with matrixed cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of database management, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques: expertise in modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and orchestration/ETL (Airflow, DBT, etc).
- Experience managing data governance frameworks, including security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Ability to work hands-on in building data models and managing data systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
