As a Territory Management Analyst, you will perform a variety of outbound sales activities to build, grow and retain strategic relationships with financial professionals and administrators. Working with multiple wholesalers across the country, you will support the business unit sales goals by prospecting and scheduling appointments for your wholesalers to meet with financial professionals within in territories. Additionally, you will support webinars, make follow-up calls, provide financial professionals with product information and sales materials and reach out to financial professionals to aid in retaining their business.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively initiates daily contacts to financial professionals to understand their business, promote Nationwide solutions and obtain agreement to learn more about Nationwide’s offerings through one-on-one or group meetings.
Performs prospecting calls to financial professionals that have not done business before or in an extended amount of time to introduce them to the current Nationwide offerings.
Review lists of financial professionals and search database for relevant information through pre-call planning.
Collaborates with wholesaling teams to identify targeted financial professionals and keep calendar up to date.
Assists in coordinating and planning events and marketing campaigns to support large events. Serves as single point of contact for assigned events and coordinates all event details, ensuring we are in compliance with all applicable policies and guidelines.
Promotes webinar events to drive high attendance.
Completes outbound calls to aid in retaining business.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager and does not typically have direct or indirect reports.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in Human Ecology, Business, Finance Communications, Marketing or other related field preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: SIE & Series 6 required.
Experience: Typically, 2 years experience in Customer Service, Sales or Sales Support role.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with Sales Partners and communicate verbally and in writing with other sales team members and partners across the company. Must be persuasive in their presentations and persistent in pursuing leads. Schedule presentations and prepare materials for presentations.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
