Nationwide specializes in providing professional liability insurance. We provide public and private D&O products along with ancillary coverages. The Underwriting department consists of a Commercial team, a Financial Institution team, a Cyber team, and an Excess Casualty team. Each group has underwriters and managers with various levels of expertise. Intern will do a rotation through Commercial, Financial Institutions, Cyber, and Excess Casualty groups
As an E&S/Specialty Underwriting Intern, you will gain tangible, hands-on experience and insight into all aspects of our business. Interns will learn the importance of customer relationships and what underwriters are looking for in each risk. Interns will be involved in company projects, work through case studies with mentors and individually, plus learn about the unique accounts we insure. Interns will also be provided with educational sessions, exposure to all aspects of E&S/Specialty underwriting work, networking, and team-building opportunities. High performing interns may be considered for a full-time job after graduation.
