This role is compensation grade G3
Responsible for a variety of activities relating to the identification, recruitment, and selection of associates for Nationwide’s corporate functions (Core responsibilities with Data Analytics/Science). This position can sit in our downtown Columbus, Ohio (hybrid) or remotely (with preference for local candidates that can attend recruiting events).
The Recruiting position will work on a team with 13 other recruiters. Job entails full life cycle recruiting from initial strategy meeting with hiring managers, evaluation of talent, interview logistics to offer negotiation and background checks with selected candidates.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Manages highly complex business partner relationships and recruits for specialized positions, including leadership roles. May have the opportunity to recruit for positions outside of assigned business units.
Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external customers of all levels to identify industry trends and support strategic business and recruiting initiatives.
Represents company and provides a positive experience, from prescreen through employment offer and up to start date, for each candidate while creating a diverse pipeline of specialized talent.
Develops and leads recruitment strategies to address workforce-planning needs for business units in partnership with Human Resources professionals and senior management.
Maintains a pulse on market conditions and industry trends to allow for effective consultation on recruitment strategies and for sharing the talent market supply.
Demonstrates expert usage and maximization of artificial intelligence (AI) digital tools and technologies.
Plans and oversees projects tied to innovation, continuous improvement and extraordinary customer care.
Identifies, establishes, and represents the company nationally through professional and diversity organizations and associations.
Accountable for executing policies, processes, programs and consulting services.
Partners with senior management to plan strategic recruiting initiatives to enhance the organization's capability, performance, and goal achievement.
Serves as subject matter authority and mentor to other recruiters, team members and business units on recruiting procedures, processes and services as needed.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director, Talent Acquisition. This is an individual contributor role.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in human resource management, business or related subject.
Experience: Typically, eight to ten years of progressively more responsible human resources management, including corporate recruiting program.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of candidate sourcing and professional recruiting practices and human resources subject areas, e.g., selection, training and development, performance management, employee relations, regulatory compliance, etc. Knowledge of the specialized needs of financial, technical and insurance industry recruiting preferred. Demonstrated skills in negotiating, counseling, influencing and strong communication skills. Ability to analyze information and recruiting needs. Demonstrated skill in balancing multiple projects on diverse issues. Maintains understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and standard methodologies. Demonstrated experience using applicant tracking systems.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Vice President and Human Resources officer.
